I wish you were close by. I'd like to lend a hand in exchange for a chance to spend some time up close with a classic Mini.
Drove my Roadster for the first time with the top down. Motoring in a MINI - nothing beats it. It certainly stirred up memories of my old MGB!
You're more than welcome to come by and see us at Mid Ohio next June. We always love to meet and greet new folks at the track. The best part of going racing is the people! We've always got a cold one for the sharing!!! :beer
Good choice Brian. That car is on my short list as a next car. Sorry to see you get out of your MINI, but I think the GTI may be a better fit as a family car.
Thanks Chuck! After almost 6 years of having a MINI, I was ready for a change. I figured the GTI is the benchmark of hot hatches, so why not give it a shot for a couple of years. The original plan was to have had one before the Brewery Drive, but the one I had looked at was sold before I could get back to the dealership.
I look forward to seeing the GTI B.A.D.. The first new car I bought with my own money was an 84 GTI. What a fun car that was.
A buddy of mine had a 4th gen GTI at the same time I have my Audi TT, they had the same engine and I think turbo, but his was far more peppier than the TT. But thenagain, I had the Quattro so my car was MUCH heavier, but dame could it take turns. Congrats on the GTI, its a good car and lots of fun to drive. Still not as fun as the Mini though!!! LOL.
Brian you even picked the color I would have. I may beg you for a test drive. You can drive the Blu car.
Washed Scooter, put him away while I wait to see how much snow we get on Thursday and Friday, damn! I think the Countryman is headed to Estes on Friday, so I might have to drive the Jeep, not looking good for me. But the wife will have fun. Sister visit for her birthday, I get to watch the kitties.
