Got a new battery for my car. Original one would not fully charge even after being plugged in 24 hours. Getting 8 years out of my factory battery isn't bad, I guess.

Drove to therapy and back, not far, just across the river.

    3 down, 3 to go!

Wore down the front brake sensor today (@ 38K)... "Boodle-de-boop!"

The Zimmermans and EBC Greens sit on a shelf in the garage, waiting. Probably a Friday job.

I took the passenger Recaro out'a the Mini and repaired the recliner mechanism. New grade 8s tomorrow and they'll both be good as new!

Took a ride up to visit the lads Helix World HQ to have new axles installed. It was a gloriously quiet ride home. No more "clickity-clickity-clickity" on take off.

Since my MINI was clean I took the opportunity to lay a nice coat of polymer wax on in preparation for winter. Very sparkly.....

Installed new front pads (EBC Greenstuff... wish me luck), new rotors (Zimmerman Z), and a new pad monitor (stone-age installation was a trip), and then took a short test drive. So far, so good.

I never knew I didn't have a 16mm socket until today (needed one to remove the caliper body from the hub, made a quick dash to Autozone for that). I also didn't know my Craftsman 15mm wrench was THICK (need a thinner one to hold the securing nut to remove the caliper, used my water-pump-pliers for that).

I've got greenstuffs on the Miata, they work well for me.

Excellent taste (presuming you actually like the taste of harbor water, old rope, and damp smouldering wood... I certainly do).

I've been reading so many EBC 'separation' stories lately, I'm a bit nervous.

That's what I get for reading MINI forums... paranoia.

I most certainly do! I always say it tastes like how burnt electrical wires smell. I know that sounds odd to a lot of people and they always ask why I would drink it but whiskey/scotch is one of the things I've always been passionate about.

Just got done giving the MINI a bath... for the first time in close to a month. And given that the forecast is looking prime for some forced induction MOTORing this weekend, I may just waste some petrol tomorrow or sunday.

Have you tried the Quarter Cask? The Ten is a my benchmark/standard. The Quarter Cask is peaty heaven (the smoke alarms in the house go off when I open a bottle).

I have not. This one is original cask strength. I'll have to look around for quarter cask... my local liquor store didn't have many islay malts. They didn't even have Lagavulin which is actually my favorite.

I have not read anything of the sort on the Miata forum I frequent. I think you'll be fine.

Now if I can just figure out why the damn Brake Service warning won't go out.

If you didn't plug them back in correctly the other issue I believe is if the light came on before replacing the brakes, you need new sensors.
