Went a did some Christmas shopping in Dark Helmet. Summer performance tires on wet cold roads is not a good recipe!
fixed the rock shield on my left rear suspension, fixed the annoying exhaust rattle. I thought the rattle was the heat shields around the exhaust, but it turned out the O2 sensor was loose and wanting to fall off. Tightened it and it also fixed what I thought to be an exhaust leak. Right after that my neighbor called and wanted me to see what was wrong with her MINI. Her car's battery was dead, also her coolant overflow tank was leaking and she was down 2 liters (or 2 quarts) oil. I lent her my Lordco discount card and sent her boyfriend shopping for a battery, SYNTHETIC oil (because she had bought a couple of bottles of dinosaur oil and was going to use it in her MINI) and told her to get her coolant overflow tank fixed. That was my last day of Christmas shopping so sorry, no presents will be given this year. I spent the whole day fixing people's cars.
I was pulled over last night on my way to work. Officer stated that he pulled me over due to my license plate lights being out. I got out and wiped the inch of dirt off the lights and the license plate numbers. He let me go with a warning.
not exactly today but last week I put the car cover on the Mini for a well earned rest in the warm weather while I return to MA to freeze! Looking forward to returning on Jan 5th
At least you have a Mini to out in! I have to make do with a 2013 Hyundai Accent. I have to wait another week and a half to get motoring.. Merry Christmas
The other day I washed my car in the lite rain and dried it in the garage. Today I replaced my license plate lenses and turned my car around in the garage. Some new wax comming this week so I need to test it out.:ihih:
Thinking of going on a Christmas afternoon drive in Scooter. All the presents are open, calls are made, then an early Christmas Dinner/late Lunch. Time for a run up to Peak to Peak, I think..... All of you have an excellent Christmas Day. Don
Went for a Christmas spin on a wonderful 65 degree afternoon... Sorry that some of you all are experiencing a real winter elsewhere!
