Took Mico to the dealer for her last warranty visit. Got the Mirror Caps replaced (they were faded and yellow from sun), new Hood Scoop ordered (will have to return next week after it's painted), and had some minor tweaks done to the e-brake, and sunroof. Nothing major. Am planning on ceramic brakes and some new tires soon though, maybe a JCW intake....
Me, Jai, Gromie and Huntley of course. It's hard to haul 2 Minis for just one driver, that's just silly! ut: But I'd drive Gromie too if I still could, she was my first MINI after all. Today Huntley just sat in the shade and looked pretty with 130 other MINIs.
I figured it out. It is a mounting point for his new exhaust system and I'm certain MM has a reason for why it has to be in that exact location, or he was looking at his CAD drawing upside down. :cornut: Jim
Yesterday I was supposed to go to the Union game after work, but the hubby ended up having to work late. Soooo, instead I washed and waxed the MINI
Nothing yet. Just another day of sitting on the porch waiting for the Big Brown Truck.
I did some badge engineering too! I've been calling it a MINI Pooper for a few months now, just made it official! Dave
Thanks Monica. MINIBee sells them. They are domed and I got that one for my first MOTD in 2009. I plan to upgrade to 2012, since it will be the BIG one. He might still have some left for this year, but you have to search around his site or send him a PM. Jim Build-a-Badgeâ„¢
Installed Alta's new hard turbo inlet tube. It fit fine if a bit tight. This tube better stay attached to the turbo. 3 others (OEM, silicone, JCW hard pipe) before it all started coming loose after a few thousand miles and would not re-tighten. Turbo seems to spool quicker, but the power gains are minimal. Miles will tell if it's gonna stay on.
Looks like you're doing something similar to what I'm planning. I was thinking the titanium turbo shield, this Alta Intake, and if it fits (I need to research this) a JCW upper stress bar. Which bar do you have there, and aside from the inlet tube, how's it all working out?
