No, her Clubman is a JustaCooper. (But the instructions DID call it a race intake... ) It's a definite improvement to the MINI. I have the Way DDM Cooper Intake on Gromit so this was a "requirement" for her MINI.:cornut:
Installed a Whalen Shift Machine (surprising, the difference) and applied the Rogue Mini Eyes (from the MA Shop!). Now only if the rain would stop so I can re-treat my canvas top with 303...
Dropped it off for re-tinting. The tinting guys had trash in their water and it got between the film and glass. They have been around for a while and warranty their work. So, no charge to me for fixing the mess, just the hassle of dropping off the MINI and transportation arrangements.
Crossed 49,500 miles today on my way to work... I'm looking at getting a different intake, noisemaker delete, and IC intake resonator delete so I can hear some "whooshy" goodness from the intake side of the world. I was considering intakes. Is the DDM worth the $?
100% ABSOLUTELY. 1. Performance is better. You will notice more on the lower and top ends. 2. Your waste gate noise will be much louder. AKA- the "swoosh". 3. No worrying about your scoop melting. The "shoot" that turns your ram air into a functioning ram air shields the scoop for the turbo heat I have about 25k on my car and have never needed to have my scoop replaced.
I'm not too worried about my scoop. Around 18k miles it was replaced under "goodwill" with a JCW CF scoop after I melted the OE one at a trackday at Willow Spring in July. :cornut: Cool. Then once I break free or warranty I'll get my mod on. Lol.
I thought about washing mine then I checked the forecast. Rain coming, after that some more rain. Maybe I should start shopping for a snorkel intake.
I don't know about your dealership, but mine never has had a problem with my intake after I put it on, and I had less then 10K on the car when it went on.
Its a mental milestone. Im less than 500miles away. So, either Monday or Tuesday depending on how much I drive over the weekend.
I will be putting my dealership's "lenience" to the test in about 2 weeks. When my new mod is done I'll let you all know
Drove mine to work today....like I do everyday, except on Fridays, when I drive the Lincoln  I'm old BTW :arf:
Sorry your team lost guys. Hope you enjoyed the drive down & back. Mine is going to have the mud scraped off today. Followed by a rev limiter test.... :ihih:
