Ahh, today was so nice and crisp I decided to take my 70 for a spin. What a blast!

Spent the rest of the afternoon on my mini bike project... Not really as sad as it looks.

Out the past 3 nights with the Countryman in the snow, out today in the snow with the Countryman. Maybe next week it will be clean again. :(

10 degrees and lower does not make for good wash weather, don't even want to think how far the mag chloride has penetrated. Love, Colorado....

Took it out to the hose and spray for a little winter salt rinse off. So glad it was up to the 40+ mark today

Thanks, Chuck, for the Zerex tip...took some time to find any, but wife's S is running again, thank God!

For my S, no one near me sells or even has Interstate batteries and the ones at Sears were just tooo expensive, plus they wanted extra for installation. So, I went to the local battery store here in town and got an Exide for $100, with free installation. :cornut:

Washed off all the salt and crud from my S today...sure wish this mid 40 degree weather would stick around a bit longer, though! I'll kill that rodent tomorrow if he doesn't see things right....

Washed the car yesterday. But this morning, the boot door was frozen shut.

Also cleaned the bonnet and noticed it's time to get a new belt.

Washed both MINI's yesterday in the warm garage and dried them with compressed air. No frozen locks that way.

Washed both cars yesterday and put my MINI back in the garage.

Today we got 6-8 inches of heavy wet snow.

Well, my morning didn't go as expected at all.

I hit an enormous chunk of ice that came out of the wheel well of the car ahead of me and instantly knew there was a problem. Front end shaking and such. Thankfully I still had the runflats up front. Made it to Discount Tires about 20 mins before the opened. Figured I would just go ahead and replace my fronts since the rears are new. Decided on a sent of Conti Contacts. Well as soon as the pulled the tire off it was far worse than I though, a huge dent in the rim. I was already 30 mins late for work, but had already called my boss.

So I ended up with 2 new tires and 4 new wheels. I also have the stock rims, though the one is beyond repair. I'll get some pics later and put the 3 up for sale. Figure someone would probably like to have them, and it would help me recoup some of the cost.
