Completely covered my MINI in the garage so I don't have to dust it every few days. Oh and we are getting snow tomorrow night till Thursday afternoon. (8-14 inches or more) Ok really ! I am DONE with Winter already.
First Scott takes the snow that was due here & now Dave is. You guys are great, no snow predicted here for the time being. YES!
Went to start it up tonite in anticipation of heading out to the British car club meeting, only to find it to have a dead battery... Can't blame the cold. :nonod:
Ordering some stickers and other stuff for it from evilbay. Thinking of adding a german license plate. Drove to a convenience store this morning. The lady made a face and said "how do you fit in that?"
Tried to drive to the Post Office. MINI did fine, driver made it 3 blocks before the body said are your farking nuts...MINI took the driver back home again.
I very politely said "There's pleanty of room in there" I'm not even unusually large. I've had my mini since August last year, and this has happened quite a few times. My favorite one was "are they going to give you the rest of the car when you finish making the payments?" It happens almost much as people compliment my very rusted and worn out '67 f100. Is this a regular occuring thing for other mini drivers as well?
I'm not exactly svelte. More than once I've had people say to me "You got out of that?" in an astonished tone.
The best one for me was when the local Police pulled me over because my window tint was too dark. He walked up along side, I rolled down the window and he stepped back with an amazed look on his face.....then he asked, is this your son's car?
The only question I usually get is "does it get good gas mileage".... ugh. I usually say, "I don't know. That's not why I bought it."
