^^^ Nice MkI Cooper S in the group photo! On a personal note, I put the roof back and took a spin over to the dentist.
Really wanted to spend some money other than the wheels and tires I had to buy last week. Was gonna get an intake, but the sudden necessity for the previously mentioned wheels and tires I can't foot the bill. Plus Dave.0 said it adds like 5 hp cause it's red... And I hate that stock one. I always think I'm going to break it. The new wheels look pretty damn spiffy too.
Thank you for the Austin pictures, nice Studie.... Good turnout, I will have to see if I can overlap a trip to Austin with this event. Not much MINI going on, the wife washed her own Countryman, then said I could do a better job this weekend. Don
:cornut: Put a nice new set of gloves on MINI Margi. They are black and white checkerboard door handle covers:drool from our own 'Outmotoring'. Increased HP/torque 3/5 (tee hee). I also put my Life Member NRA badge on her. 1 more badge(!), oh no, they'll kick me out of the trailer park.(I really don't live in a trailer park) Then we went for a therapeutic drive on the TX country roads with Starbucks, cigars, and music. Great Day! Jason
Went for a fifty minute drive yesterday before the 12"-18" on snow started last night. No telling when it will get out again.
Yup dug out of all the snow today. We can drive on our roads but I have nowhere I need to go. I guess it's a good time for an afternoon nap.
Picked up another old fart, headed to Waldo for a fried baloney samich & conversation with a friendly old fart. My car is filthy from the drive down River Rd. but it was worth it. The snows a melting & the roads are sloppy as all get out. The snow is melting!!!
I hopped into Montag and headed over to an old co-worker's graveside services early this afternoon. I'da driven The Phenix but I figured it'd be too loud for the residents..... Here's to you Jerry! :beer
I think it hit 60 today... Took the wife and myself with her Countryman to dinner tonight. Very special day, she submitted her resignation at work, now we both can enjoy this retirement thing. Of course, it counted as a Valentines Dinner, too.
Got my S fixed, rode around with another olde fart, chatted a lot, and ate some grrreat samwiches before returning home.
