They often make probing landings at the very tip of Preston Peninsula at night. I've stationed my family there to resist any attempts to land in force.

I put my new Cravenspeed Dipstick in yesterday. But didn't check my oil because I didn't drive the mini anywhere till coming to work this morning. I shall check my oil level tonigh, and hopefully soon Ill be changing the oil. I ordered some oil filters from eminiparts, and I just need to procure a couple of tools for the job, namely the 27 mm socket and an 8mm allen wrench and I'm good to go.

Got some new tires, a four wheel alignment and replaced the plugs and wires. Also ordered an aux jack and some of those cool union jack stickers to cover the decapitated babies on the sun visors.

Ordered two sets of new tires for MOTD.
For me, staying with what works: 215/45-17 Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Made the move now even though it is a month earlier than I’d wanted as there is a $70 Rebate that is set to expire at the end of the month.
After speaking with Alex at the Tire Rack, ordered new tires for wife’s Countryman: Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP (runflat) in 225/50-17. Another $70 Rebate.
Regrettably, was not able to order from Alex as a local Discount Tire beat them in price: Tire Rack + shipping compared to Discount Tire + tax.
I’m pretty much broke now :biggrin5:

Hopefully you can manage to get more than 15k-ish miles out of them.

That is about what I see; however, the tread wear warranty makes it tolerable.

Picked up my R53 after its pulley install that started on Monday.
It was a debacle getting the stock pulley off which ended up pulling the supercharger off the car. I'm glad it was pulled off since we discovered that there was no oil in the snout! New oil and a fresh gasket to go with the new pulley and all is well again. :cornut:

Perfect Colorado day (60-ish) After a bath, towel down, hand wax, leather cleaned, leather conditioned, exterior trim moisturized, windows cleaned in/out, all the while BLASTING my favorite tunes from my driveway....I never made it to the wheels, though...ran out of time. The predicted storm is visible coming over the Front Range...and, here's the good part, because I already knew this ahead of time... I DON'T HAVE A GARAGE!!! I have a carport. Ha Ha Ha. I love my MINI, that is enough! I had a perfect day.

Every MINI should have a Whalen shift machine! Nicely weighted & a joy to hold while shifting through the twisties.

Checked my oil last night. I was super surprised, only down about 1/4 of a quart. It was however slightly blacker than people claim my soul is. I think thats bad. Gotta go get a socket and 8 mm allen so I can do the oil change soon.
