So far so good. I haven't really had a change to put some miles on since I added it. I'll update this once I do or if there is a problem.
Well, I did the common MINI thing today. I took it to the dealership to get something fixed right this time. ;-) DISCLAIMER: Even though I was having to make an hour's drive to get something fixed right this time, I also got the visor replaced FOC... a year out of warranty. Mucho appreciado!
I didn't do anything with either Mini today, but I am staying at a Comfort Suites in Miami tonight...!
Wished I was driving it instead of the family accord. My four year old said "I wish we could have taken daddy's car instead". That car has no personality, and doesn't corner all that well either. However it is more reliable than most of our kitchen appliances.
I opened the box to my new DDM CAI and I :drool'd ! Too cold to install it today, maybe after this next arctic blast moves out to sea.
Yesterday drove from 11 degree NJ to 58 degree NC! Today it's 70 here and the de-salting task of Dr. Phibes has begun!
:cornut: Yesterday actually(you know Jason, always late and in the wrong attire). Checked all of the fluid levels and power washed the engine and bay. Scrubbed all of the nicotine from the inside of the windows. Improved the air flow and decreased back pressure of the PCV system(Metalman approved) but remained within the guide lines of Fed Regs. Went through the car wash. Went for a TX country lane drive with eyes peeled and escaped a 'raccoon ambush.' Jason
:cornut: Yes Ma'am, we're already getting it down here, alternating sleet, freezing rain, and thunder boomers. Rats, I can't in good conscience allow MINI Margi to take me for a ride today. No garage but she's under the carport. Jason
Mark I'm seriously considering getting them to improve my heel/toe due to me being an old guy. Does the extension (in red) on the throttle pedal really put the brake/throttle pedals closer together and are the clutch/ brake pedals larger or the same size. Thanks, Rab
The extensions get them closer and I haven't figured out whether I like the top or bottom one. I'll remove the one I don't use. I've typically blipped the throttle at the top. The brake and clutch have more surface. The quality is first class.
Nice Coco floor-mats Mark. :ihih: A few years ago I picked up a set of Voltage peddles that have set screw spikes sticking out of them and my foot never slips and heel toe is no issue.
How was the install for the Rennline pedals? My factory clutch pedal cover fell off yesterday and I have been looking into replacements.
Not bad....it took a couple of hours but you have to consider that I don't fit up under the dash very well. I'm glad no one was shooting a video!
