Haha on the original. It gets 5k oil services. Installed a OCC at 35k. Change trans fluid twice since I bought it in 2011. Coolant has been flushed twice. Screw every 15k recommend oil service. It does need a new valve cover. JB weld will only hold out for so long. I'm preventively replacing the turbo lines and oil filter gasket so I don't have issues.
Ordered some parts and made the get ready for MOTD change every fluid and fix the little things appointment.

Labor of love for minis, and its not even mine, well technically it is but it our car dealership and theres going to be someone lucky to own this mini.
They just pop off if you pull them. Start at an end and pull, it will sound like its breaking but its the clips popping loose and work your way across them trim. The front molding has 2 screws holding it on. Pull the rubber door seal and look at the end of the trim and you will see the screw. (1) at each end. *Also the windshield trim is two pieces that separate in the middle so I recommend making them, remove them and put them together before you paint them.
Usually, for me anyway, if it sounds like its breaking, its because it is. :mad2: Thanks for the info, I am going to give it a try when it gets a little warmer out.
The doors have no clips at all the are just pressed on and can be a little hard to pull off. Just keep working them slowly and they will come right off. Yes, I would not try to take them off in the winter everything is cold and brittle. (warm and flexible is the way to go.)
Since they brined the roads like a Thanksgiving turkey on Sunday, it's been in the garage for a few days. But, today we made a Costco and Mello Mushroom run. All happy now. :drool
Today I started my MINI and let it warm up for about a 1/2 hour. I did not go anywhere I just wanted to hear the motor. After I shut it down I checked the oil level and it's looking good.
Today I rotate the tires on my FILs Paceman. Then I washed his and then my GP in 37f weather. I also cleaned the inside of mine. Yesterday I washed the wife's Roadster in 42f weather after getting her new tires. I am tired of the cold, bring on the heat. Now it is raining yeah. lol
