The good thing about a loud exhaust is you can't hear the screams coming from the right seat!

Practiced manual shifting the automatic justa Clubman I have for a courtesy car. I'm pretty sure I can drive it faster than having it in automatic sport mode. :D

Made 3 wiring harnesses for the DIY lights project....

Got some better springs for the aiming adjusters used on the lights....

Next week I should get the ceramic high heat plugs for the H4 bulbs....

With a small bit of luck this project will be complete next week....

Can't wait to drive the MINI with the nice change in the weather....:D

I took the Cooper back to dealer. My computer is having a meltdown. Pulled int church last evening and several warning lamps stared up. The engine, service soon, flat tire, ABS, brake, gas, and traction control we're all on. The key fob stopped working. The car can only be locked with the key. The door lock switches stopped work as well as the speedometer, tachometer, and gas gauge. The car completely died upon stopping at the dealer last night. We leave for the Dragon in 9 days.

Not good timing for a breakdown! Old battery perhaps? Things get really odd really fast with a dying battery.

Sounds like a battery to me too.
All I did with mine was forget to close the sunroof last night before the rain. Luckily they were in the first position vs wide open.

    Let's see...

This morning, as my girlfriend and I were heading to the Farmer's Market, The Dreaded Noise was, for the first time, audible while the car was idling. So I recorded it to play for my mechanic.
Want to play "What's That Noise? Follow this link to hear it. (M4a file, requires having a modern computer.)

My current guess: This is the noise a power steering pump makes when it doesn't have enough power steering fluid. So that's answer 2 to the question of the thread: I went to Advance Auto for some proper hydraulic fluid for the power steering. Ask me tomorrow if the noise (which only shows up when the engine is dead cold) has returned, or if the cardboard under the car is covered with hydraulic fluid.

Also, while at Advance, I got the local Fire/Rescue squad to wash Black Top, promising them extra if they got some of the red bug sex off my hood. (It came that way when I bought it 2 weeks ago.) They did such a good job that I gave them an extra $10,though they didn't get it all off. Probably because some of it got waxed over. Oops.

I also spent some time contemplating jacking the car up to apply some sound damping to the wheel wells, but I'm stumped by not knowing how to insert a jack stand properly when I have to jack the car up on the only point where it's proper to put a jack stand.

I settled for adding some sound dampening to a few suspect places and running some Armor All cleaning wipes over spots that needed some love on the interior. Also I added some gap filling adhesive foam strips to the hood front.

Oh! And I pumped the first tank of premium gas into Black Top that has likely been in it in 2 years.

Swapped out my broken antenna base for an unbroken one; no more hole in my roof!
I took it out for a drive in search of some new fabric to replace my headliner with but nothing jumped out at me.

Took mine to my buddies shop to use his lift. I went over my car from front to back as a safety double check to make sure everything is good for the Dragon. I also changed my Trans/gear fluid and did a fresh oil change.

All that's left installing my harness and washing & waxing.

Hi, Loading a Sound Clip would only be Futile. Because unless you get the same Custom built Tip. You could not replicate it's Sound. But I can Say this, It sounds like Stock JCW. Tone, But Much Deeper. No Drone and Wicked at Launch and Going thru the Gears. Because the Resonator is long, the Cabin is quiet at cruise.

But If I get some free time, I will see what I can Do.

I drove the R53 to the golf course for a long overdue round with the oldest friends I've got in this world. I played like s** t, but had the greatest of times.

Life just doesn't get any better! :beer

I did nothing with my MINI. My youngest girl and I got the ski boat ready for the season. Now I have two things to be excited for, the Dragon and going to the lake!

New battery went in 2 months ago when car had attitude adjustment at dealer. It would not start even with jump.

Well, yesterday, I replaced all pads and rotors as the final mechanical prep for MOTD. Is it time to go yet?!
