Getting ready for our first Dragon run of the day! Came in on the hellbender last night. Sun just came out but it's chilly!
We just arrived at Fontana Village. The sun is out, the Fall foliage looks great. Saw a bunch of good looking MINI's. It's 59F outside. Such a beautiful place. Had a swell run in to the lodge (no Jim..... I didn't run into the lodge, so you can take your fingers off the keyboard). Life is good..... Shot from our room balcony.....
I saw RDNZL, stuck a M/A card on the windshield. Nice MINI..... Best looking one in the parking lot.... This morning we drove over to the Biltmore, dropped $100.00 for entrance tickets.... Oh well, something the wife wanted to do, so we are. Beautiful here, sunny and 41F.
Took Schultze to Auto Bell (I know, I know...) to get a good cleaning inside & out. I was able to get a better look at the bumper and decided that I will try to buff it out tomorrow morning, so he's currently parked in the front yard. I need to find replacements for the two hex bolts that are on the outermost edge of the front bumper cover...P/N 07-14-6-986-088. The local dealership didn't have any in stock and suggested I go to Fastenal, but they only sell in bulk. Was hoping someone could get the measurements off theirs so that I can see if I can find it at an auto parts store or even Lowe's/Home Depot.
We have an old True Value hardware store in town that has an incredible selection of fasteners, but that may vary on a store to store basis. Dave
I'll have to check out the local True Value stores next week; they are all closed on Sundays. Hopefully they'll let me test fit a few until I find the correct size...
I never thought for a minute that you "hit" the lodge, MM. Well, maybe just for a minute. From the picture, I would say your room is in the main lodge, looking toward the vendor's area. Oppps, there isn't a vendor's area. :frown2: Jim
I always thought of the breakfast buffet as the vendors area. They sell the best antenna toppers available. :donut1: Added another 300 or so miles to the odometer in my quest for 100,000 miles.
Years ago, a friend hooked a neon sign transformer to his truck, because a neighborhood tomcat was spraying on it every night. It made a terrible noise that night and started peeing on another neighbor's car after that. I don't think it would be a good idea to do that to a MINI though, what with all the electronics in them. Dave
Washed the MINI today..... After driving my friend around yesterday, I found bits of peanut brittle all over in it from her :mad2::mad2::mad2:
Changed the earl yet again. Plus I replaced the air filter, although the one that came out looked pretty good. Since I bothered to open up the blasted thing I threw a new filter elephant. Did I mention I managed to pull the vacuum line off the by pass valve? :mad2:
