Tried to adjust the drivers window so it won't whistle all the way to the Dragon. The whistle is worse then the voices in my head! Washed it and put it in the garage so I can clay and wax it tomorrow.
Just use a hair dryer on high heat and warm it then you should be able to lift it off by the edges. You can use goo gone to remove any leftover glue. With the hair dryer you can warm it up for a long time any not worry about about burning the paint or yourself. If you have a heat gun it will make it a lot easier and faster but you do run the risk of burning your paint if you hold the gun in the same spot for a while. Also you can get it so warm the gets super hot and when you touch it you could burn yourself.
Your a big dam help! I've been doing that. :mad2:But then there's wind noise. 6 hours of that and I will have lost what sanity I have left.
For the lower grille, all I did was take off the piece of plastic holding the license plate on which exposes the rest of the chrome. I believe all I did was stick a piece of cardboard between the bumper and engine bay. simple as that.
I fixed the whistle and now you complain about wind noise? That was not your original issue. Please take a number. I see noway to make you happy.:lol::lol::lol:
Good to see all the MOTD prepping, Saturday I took the day and my 07 MCS down to Schomp MINI for the Bloody Roll-out, good event, got there at 12:01, food was pretty much gone (I think the staff ate first), good crowd of folks, had some nice demo rides going. Not the best or biggest MINI roll-out event I have attended, but a no-pressure event, RSM seems to have turned over the MA staff, so hard to tell if they were selling a MINI or waiting for the rain. I did get the chance to wash and spiff Scooter before the drive down, rain to day, so I will do it again this week. After the RSM event, I stopped by the Tanner Denver Gun Show, wish I had more $$$ and another 5 hours of time, everything from old to new and futuristic, I will have to go again in 6 weeks for the next show. Finally uploaded the Estes drive pictures, there is one of the better shots, use it to cruise around the Album, sorry only 1 picture of the CM. Here is the link to album of the RSM event, not a bunch of pics, but you get the idea. Don Let me know if you do not see the picture, G+ is getting funky on permissions.
Today I Packed the Mistress and added an extra case off beer. all I need to do now is get in and turn the key and go......:biggrin5: I only have about 8 1/2 hours until I leave. But first I have having a nice steak Lunch, putting on the Flyers / Rangers game and going into a relaxing food coma /Nap. After that it's just wake up, shower, have breakfast around 7 PM and leave for Fontana around 8- 8:30 PM tonight.
Installed replacement front door speakers. Retrofit brackets are a bit of a pain. Found out the old iPod I planned to dedicate as an in-car jukebox is not modern enough to be compatible with the Pioneer MVH-X560BT I installed yesterday. So I rerouted the USB cable from the glove box to the iPhone mount point. Then I washed Black Top and my wife's Sportage. Later on I might even drive!
Man did it feel good to finally get the MINI back on the road after it's long hibernation... Took a MINI road trip down to Cincinnati today... Took the missus to IKEA.... What a place.... Wore me out.... It was like being part of a human conveyor belt.... They seem to be all about efficiency and low cost.... Intriguing business... Had lunch at their in store cafeteria / restaurant.... What a deal... Had the 15 Swedish meatball combo.... Pretty tasty for not a lot of $$....
Put 40 miles on her today because there was not one cloud in the sky, back in the man cave & all detailed. Now waiting for Tuesday morn and the rain and the rain. I think 6+ cars (C3M) for trip to you know where. Starting to feel like 2011 again and you know what happened that year, wind & rain oh- my!
Washed mine again. In the garage until I leave thursday AM. Rain starting tomorrow through thursday locally. Hopefully it'll stop before I leave.
