Had fun! Does "hauling ass" count as doing something? I ripped off a couple of good 0-80 runs, then cranked a 35 mph turn at about 75. I think I felt the stability control kick in for the first time. She felt a bit "wiggly" as I cranked that turn. Like she was in "save myself" mode.
Dropped off the winter mini at MAG to see why she is hesitating and stuttering when first started. They said that if it is carbon build up, it's not covered under warranty and would be quite a bit more than I expected it to cost. If it is needed, anyone have a good recommendation for the service at less than $900?!?!
MAG rocks! Got a call and they confirmed that there was carbon build up. They are taking care of it for me as a gesture of goodwill. Made my day!!!
That is just great. Good on them for doing the right thing for you. I'm very happy for you Pam. :biggrin5:
Drove my clean MINI over to donuts with MINI friends.:donut1: Drove home, got caught in a rain storm.:frown2: Parked in the garage & cleaned it off again using lots of hydro.:biggrin5:
Picked this up from the MINI skirts booth at MOTD. It was supposed to be red. Guess I'l have to wait 'til next year to get a red one.
Took a nice run with the Hickory Area MINI Club with 19 MINI's and 1 Morgan! NC 80-Devils Whip to BRP to Little Switzerland for lunch then down the Diamond Back-NC 226A to Catawba Brewing Company! First F56 on a run!
I'm thinking this is a pretty piece of machined metal.... Why are you preventing me from feasting on it with my eyes..... Don't you have a potato camera handy Picktures Pleeze....
They weren't sure if I needed it until they got in there. Normally they don't cover it, but I think I got extra consideration because it was a mini next vehicle I've only had for a few months. And probably how pitiful I looked when I was thinking the cost was zero and got a tentative quote of $900.
Sorry, I forgot who my audience is... You can't see it while assembled, but there is a relief cut that was made to allow relief for the washer and bolt which has to fit between the starter housing and the adapter. A very close tolerance fit to be sure, but it appears it'll work perfectly.
That must have been the 1,000 yard.... Ummmm $1,000 stare you had going there.... You need to remember that look and use it where appropriate.... Glad it served you well...
