Changed my oil for the first time. Only had to try the filter 3 times before it was seated properly. Probably wont get that lucky next time.....
Went into my garage to grab something and got distracted by the shininess (gave it a good bath yesterday), so I stood there and stared at it for a few. Otherwise it's been a pretty uneventful day...
Took the CM and puppy to the vet for shots this AM, came back and took the 07 MCS over to Gander MTN for targets! Almost became a target myself via a construction truck, it was sitting tall and I was sittlng low on a side by side left turn! :frown5: :mad5: Dork did his turn then tried to ace me out, need a bigger MINI horn. Scooter does great evasion. Really hate the out of country drivers we have up here in Colorado. Now to relax, perhaps a little something over ice, almost 3pm. Don
Always good to get back from a trip and drive the mini! Last night a 10PM had to go get my daughter in Nashvill when her friends car had a flat. The friend decided to stay with family up there. My daughter needed to get home for work today. So 6 hours at 4:00AM we were home. Call it a post Dragon shake down!
Back from the Carlisle Import Show this weekend, probably 250-300 cars on the show field of which we had 31-33 minis/MINIS. Volvo again was the biggest marque with SAAB right behind them. Also, there were probably 20 TVR's, always good to see!
Yesterday drove down to my new temporary home in Ft. Lee, VA. Today, enjoyed my ~5mile commute to the classroom... versus my normal 25+mile commute to work. The next three months should help to keep the miles down on the ol' MINI.
Hah.... Fort Lee Virginia... I was born in the Army hospital there many many moons ago.... My dad was in the Army Quartermaster Corps at Fort Lee...
I had no choice but to park it in a friend's driveway last night... under a mulberry tree. So much for having washed it Friday!
Well, she DID like the sticker on the back because it is from the area where she was born. As for the dragon eyes and the M7 STRPs, they are beneath the bonnet...do you REALLY think she will EVER look under the hood? I dunno if she even realizes there is an engine there...whatever. Now, if she ever DOES open the bonnet, those eyes will scare the living crap outta her!:lol:
Well then..... Tell her it's very important to check the oil every time she fills up with gasolene...
