Stopped on the way home from work to pick up a few barley pops and on the way out a nice lady informed me that GIR was adorable, not sure how I feel about driving an adorable car. Got home popped a top:beer and started working on my Cup Holder Project.
No more like this. The funny thing is I didn't notice it had crank windows till my daughter got there, she was all excited about them.. It has Ford Sync and does all sorts of cool stuff. My wife said all that cool stuff and crank windows? Yea it seams silly.
A new car for a 16 year old? Is that wise? I thought a first car was supposed to be disposable, for when they wreck it. Dave
Today on my JCW aero bumper I sanded the small amount of filler I had to add yesterday for some pin hole stone chips. I also made a nice epoxy patch to fix a small crack / split in the lower part of the bumper. Now I need to wait a whole day before I can sand and finish fill it then feather sand the repair so I can put done my first layer of primer this weekend.
My mom gave me my dad's 05 GMC when he passed. When I jumped into it for the first I started laughing, the wife couldn't figure out why until I pointed it out it had window cranks, hadn't seen any in years. I cant belive they still make vehicles with window cranks.
The other three got nice cars but ones I could walk away from. Two of them I did have to walk away from. This one had been on the lot for a long time and I got it at a really good price.
Dropped the Blu one with the good folks at Best Motor Werks for a fuel filterectomy. Hope Anson doesn't light up a stogie while he changes it out. A friend had a Neon with power windows in front & cranky ones in the rear???
Nice picture of the 'Ford' accented by the MINI. Wow does that little Ford look huge!!! After I mow the patch, I think I will spiff up Scooter, take a little drive before the rain. Don
I thought the same thing, big honkin Fiesta. Most likely camera phone lens distortion. Just got done pluggin Skooby with new plugs. Tip of the day from Anson my MINI tech. Pull the coil packs off with the engine warn, they will come off easier. This is true! Then wait for the engine to cool before pulling the plugs out. Don't even try this without the special spark plug socket made from Unicorn horns. The old plugs looked good, but at 55,000 miles I thought it was time. The factory says 100,000 miles. I bough the oem plugs from the good folks at eMINIparts.com.
I would pay extra for hand cranking windows. power window motors ALWAYS die and always cost a lot to replace.
I tried to repair a crack in my JCW aero bumper and failed the first time but not the second time. I mixed up a nice strong batch of epoxy and added something to strengthen the bond from the back and got it all setup and clamped it into place. After a few hours of drying I removed the clamp and bingo it's perfect. I only had a little bit to sand on the front and add a little filler to level it out. I will let it sit for the night and start finish sanding tomorrow. This project it taking a lot of time but it's worth it to do everything by hand. Getting closer to Primer.
I know I used to do body work and painting back in the day before I learned you can make much more money on computers. :ihih: With computer work you don't jack up you hands and have to wear respirators.
