I parked it today for the first time in a month. Finally got my truck back from my son... Learned though that the MINI needs some work.
Nasty storm coming this way today.... It dropped tennis ball size hail yesterday in the midwest.... I'll be pulling my MINI into the shop if the storm continues to be stupid....:mad5:
Oh well if the hail decides to bash my MINI into golf ball patina so be it. The sky s falling, the sky is falling. Yikes!
That picture was from Colorado a few years ago. Not mine, snatched off the web. Yep that picture is a holy shirt moment for sure.
Went to see the Jon Favreau movie Chef. (Highly recommend.) Now I have to work on how to make Cubanos. :drool
Is the guy on the phone with God telling him those are not the twisties I was praying for. Please make it stop.
^^^ That's a laugh out loud one!:lol::lol: If that was me I'd be finding out what the top speed was! :yesnod:
Oh and today I finished sanding my front JCW aero bumper with 2000 and sprayed on the last coat of Chili Red. Whoo Hoo! Next is more color sanding with 2000 before it gets some clear. So far the process has been: Sand with 80 Fill a few deep rock chips and the fix crack in bumper. Sand with 180 Sand with 320 Spray with filler primer Let it dry in the sun Block sand with 320 Wet sand with 400 Spray another coat of filler primer Sand again with 180 & 320 and wet sand with 400 and 500 Spray Chili Red whoo hoo Let it dry in the sun for a day and night Wet sand again with 2000 (3 or 4 times) Today I sprayed the last 2 coats of Chili Red. Now it's outside sitting in the Sun baking to a nice even finish then I will bring it inside for the night. Tomorrow.... You guessed it, more wet sanding with 2000 to get rid of any new orange peel from the last coat of Chili Red. Then it will be ready for clear! After that is done, I will install the OEM grills and tape off the bottom and sides to spray the textured black section. Then I can put it back on the car again and drive!
