Drove to Montana and back 1,600 miles over a 4-day weekend. Took scenic routes and enjoyed passing RVs at WOT. Got better mileage than ever due to all that open road higher speed driving. The exhaust tips were shiny and clean instead of sooty black. Came home - washed and waxed. Picked up a few more tiny hood chips and lots of bugs who sacrificed themselves to the Mini. But a lot also bounced off the carnauba wax job leaving a small streak as testament to their brief passing. Replaced spark plugs with the new (Enerpulse) Pulstar 5,000,000 watt plasma core plugs. Butt dyno says more power and faster rev to redline. Maybe I will get another dyno sometime to compare to my first dyno. The plugs DO NOT come properly gapped for an inducted engine. Must be carefully gapped at 0.025.
Drove to see the craziest client I've ever had. Yes she has been in a facility. Almost fired her again. I needed medication after 3 hours with her. Not that I have anything against crazy people it's just when they are making me crazy(er).
Folded the back seats down so all my racetrack stuff will fit in the back. Headed to the Mini challenge! :arf:
Going to change the oil on the GP but dreading taking that canister out. The engineer that designed and placed the oil filter placement should have to travel the world and change every ones oil filters for free. What a danged place to put it.
Rick it isn't that hard once you move the coolant tank out of the way. I use a zip tie to hold the tank out of the way. Zip from the tank to the lifting eye on the engine. If you don't have a tie long enough put a couple together. It does help make it easier.
I agree but this GP coolant tank can only be moved a little before it starts leaking. My wife's roadster is much easier to move the tank and change the filter.
Hummmmm Rick it sounds like you need Jan to make you a custom RMW one. We don't have these issues.
I'm wondering if the hose on roadster is longer. If so buy one of those & put it on the GP. Our Clubster with an N12 engine has no turbo in the way making the filter change a snap. Although it does lack a wee bit of horse powers.
Today I cut the grass, finished recovering the patio furniture and then I sat back and looked at my MINI.....She sure is pretty.
^^^ nope I have a little hair on top and the back & sides are bald. Pony tail are so 80's when I had long hair :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
