I hated going to that place! Liked it even less when they didnt want to even pay any attention to me when I wanted to file a disability claim.
Had my MCS flatbedded to the dealer 70 miles away...messed up the lower bumper when it hit some curbing hard and something is wrong internally now, too...evil sounds and some antifreeze leaking.:cryin:
Only thing that low coolant wise is the radiator and one hose... Heres to hoping it just wiggled the hose loose... If it split the radiator, you probably would have known as soon as it happened. Sorry about your troubles though Jeff.
So far today, even the dealer doesn't know what's going on with the BABY. The took it out and about earlier and heard nothing unusual. I did tell them about the coolant today so hopefully, therein lies the problem. I'm hoping fan blade or shaft, but will be calling them again before they close tonite at 7.
Day-umm...am I going nuttier than ever here? I KNOW it was a grinding, squealing noise.... Dealer called and they took it out for almost an hour at all speeds and have heard nothing. They had to order a part for the front bumper, though, as it could not be repaired or even pop-riveted to hold. So, it won't be ready until at least Friday and I'm real busy then, as luck would have it. I guess I'll pick it up Saturday...in the rain...oh, goody.:incazzato: In the meantime, I'll just have to drive the Cooper...haven't driven it for awhile and so, it will appreciate getting used.
Moved it over into work area, should I change the oil now or wait till the new lower control bushings are installed, why rush, it's to hot and humid, was the second thought..
Oil change! First since I've owned Black Top. I don't really notice a difference after a short drive in the expensive synthetic, which I doubt was in it before. Then again, I've only driven a few miles. The good news was that the mechanic said the old oil was at full, so the engine isn't burning anything or leaking!
Drove 250 miles to Asheville, NC yesterday. Hanging out in the mountains until Sunday. Couldn't believe I only saw two Minis all day. Usually see a half dozen or more. Got to use the rear fog lights again when I Drove.into a wall of water. I would have sworn I passed Noah 's boat in that downpour. Temps are much nicer here than at home. I gotta say, I do love retirement! And, having a girlfriend that lives this close to the Dragon! :biggrin5:
I drove the "family car" to work today. Kid wanted to take the MINI to work today. :confused5: She wanted to drive a manual transmission car for a change.
