Spent an absolutely beautiful afternoon (check local listings) in the MINI dealership while the Service Dept. tried to figure out why the red "P" light on the gear shift housing wouldn't go out. :(

Never found the reason, no codes, but unplugging the harness then plugging it back has solved the problem. The system now "goes to sleep" after the proper amount of time. Got new wiper blades while it was in too.

We went to visit the neighbor. Found out his Daughter just got a new Cabrio! Pretty sweet!
I need to find a Dragon sticker for her.

Driver weight is an acceptable addition... A car is a large paperweight without one!
An audio system on the other hand... Well that is something I can live without. Its kinda hard to hear it over the exhaust, And the whine of the S/C if you are actually "enjoying" your MINI in the first place. :)

Says the guy with 17 layers of rust paint on his non running car. :p:lol:

I know what you are saying. If my car was a track only car it would be gutted but I like my music and those long 12 hour rides to the Dragon without music and my exhaust would kill me.

Yeah... The 20 hours down there next year is going to be BRUTAL between the fixed position Sparco seats, the 5 point harnesses, and not having tunes!

Its just more incentive to get there faster! :D

Well then get back to work.

Also you can always plug in an iPod and headphones when you want tunes.

Do I hear a high speed Dragon run challenge? The one with the highest average speed winds. It may best be done at night.:ihih:

At night? Have you been on the Dragon midweek after Midnight?

Do you know what the locals do on the Dragon late at night? 12 am -3:00 am

I would not recommend running the Dragon because Colin and I found out running my car last year at 1:30 AM.

Clue: (trucks hauling enclosed race trailers )

I meant from home to the Dragon. ModFather said he would be uncomfortable in the rust bucket on a long drive. :biggrin5:

Only chance of getting the stroker built by then would be to win the lotto! :(

At least I have a temporary engine that runs... Sometimes thats enough.

If you can't hear the audio over the exhaust and mechanical noises, your audio system isn't big enough!

I've done LOTS of big audio...

Spent highschool competing in db-DRAG (SPL competition, research Team QUAD term-pro still has some of our stuff archived) owned the CO state SPL record for a couple weeks... Shattered 3 windshields in a week just with sound pressure. :)
After that I joined the army built some good systems for friends, and moved into the SQ world... My last system I built had 1400 watts of power running 14 speakers in my CRX... Pop the hatch and open the doors at a car show, and they would mysteriously turn the music over the PA off... :D It was fun, but getting out of all that noise has saved me lots of money! Now I dont even care to have the radio on running around town.

Then you should know better than to say you can't hear the audio over the exhaust. :D
