I'd skip the gum and pick up a cheap ice pick to check your bosses tire pressure...

No finer way for a real car enthusiast to show gratitude.

I am working through a new jar of the following: "Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax creates a warm, wet-looking shine with nature’s finest wax and fruit oils. The results are sizzling shine, depth, and reflection that enhance any type and color of paint."

After a light claying and then a couple of coats of Pinnacle, I am getting the advertised results. It seems to have a little better gloss and depth. Sharper points of light. $60 for a can that will do about 30 applications.

Auto Geek: Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax will give you a deep, wet finish will exceed your expectations. car wax, carnauba paste wax, pinnacle

Also, ordered new 215x40x18 tires to replace Continental Extreme Contact DWS which have about 30K miles - below the wear bars. This time I am going with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S-3. Tire Rack has them listed #1 for dry and wet grip and handling.

    Any opinions on the Michelins?

If you like Pinnacle try Souverän its the next step up or you can go over the top and get a very deep shine with Supernatural and layer it with a sealant like Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid Paste Sealant. A little goes a loooooong way.

I drove my clean MINI to work at 1:30AM. Now it has bugs on the front, guess that's what show shine is for.

I considered the Souverän, but went with the PSS as they advertise the polymer mix that they claim provides as good or better results. Pinnacle says: "This polymer was originally designed to form resins for use in electronic connectors. For our purposes, the polymer is left in a semi-liquid state that both softens the carnauba and enhances the wax’s reflective nature. The result is a wetter, glossier finish that brings out the best in any color paint finish."

But Dodo claims: "They took some of the high grade natural ingredients of Supernatural original, like T1 carnauba, and combined them with synthetic polymers." Dodo also claims superior durability, glossiness, incredible water beading, and longevity.

Wait a minute! I think I have some Wolfgang ($90 a can) that does/says about the same thing. Wolfgang says: "Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax represents a new era in which the traditional car wax fuses with cutting edge, synthetic ingredients to form the ultimate high gloss, high bonding car wax. With Wolfgang Füzion, nothing is compromised." But, Wolfgang uses WHITE carnauba instead of YELLOW. Well now, which is best, yellow or white?

    I guess it's battle-of-the-chemists.

I really can see the difference with Pinnacle though, but hey, maybe the new Dodo will be my next experiment.

I ordered a header and some 450cc injectors from Jan @ RMW. My girl gets some more go-fast parts, and is in store for a dyno tune at the end of next month.

Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax is ok. It the same as Pinnacle Souverän just a different color and sent. I have used it before and liked it for a while then I found Dodo Juice. Great hand crafted waxes that return great results.

Another wax I want to try but have not had the time to is SON1C Wax Phoenix . Its handmade and poured in Virginia. They guy sent out tons of samples and had it reviewed by the guys that own Dodo Juice. He made 93 different versions before he got exactly what he wanted with the assistance from the guys at Dodo Juice.

I looked up part numbers for a new fuel filter. I think it's time for a few new rubber bushings too. Geez.
