On the way home from the office today, I got dwarfed by a BIG F56 MINI Cooper. It pulled in behind me in the traffic line-up. I saw the driver in the mirror so gave her the MINI motoring wave and she showed a beautiful smile and waved back. Then followed me for about 3 miles until we had to go different directions. Nobody even cut between us. :biggrin5:
Heading out for my regularly scheduled VA appointment. 250 mile round trip. Nice day for motoring. Y'all have a nice day.
I was maybe 75 feet from the I-80 on-ramp this morning going 55 mph (and accelerating). A lady driving a Camry coming the opposite direction evidently decided she needed to get on the on-ramp, too (which only had access from my direction). So in her mind, the best course of action (of course) was to suddenly make a U-turn, ending up directly in front of me going less than 10 mph. So that was fun! In my mind I was beating her a**, so that made me feel a tiny bit better.
Glad nothing got broken. One thing great about our MINIs is they have great brakes. I would have great trouble going back to a lesser car if I was ever to need another vehicle.
Thank you! I'm glad, too. Thank goodness for good coffee, decent reflexes, and great brakes! Now I just need a train horn...
Glad you were on top of the situation and avoided a big hurt with a boring car. Nothing so exciting around here. Just moved the MINI to get the Harley out and wash it. That's a guaranteed way to leave blood on the driveway.
Today I picked up my new to me S-Heavy wheels with my winter tires mounted on them. I am getting rid of my R90's since they are a PITA to keep clean in the Winter when I take my car out in the snow, salt, slush and ice. Yes, I am OCD. I will be giving them to Helix in a few weeks so they can sell them to someone. They are knock off R90's but they look exactly the same and are very strong one piece rims with no bends. I have owned them since new so they are very clean and sealed. If you see them you would think they are only a few weeks old not 6 years old. Here they are on the car.
Camry says it all! She was what I call a BDBH (brain dead bugger head). You should have told her she was number one only different finger.:lol::lol:
