I'm looking at a another mobile solution that will not require the end user to have an app. It does work with the Garage too.
Unboxed my new (to me) wheels and tires. Checked the new chrome lug bolts for fit before taking them to the tire shop for balancing and installation. Crap! And Double Crap!! The bolts diameter is too large to seat in the wheel. Now I've gotta scramble to find some that will fit and hopefully get rid of the ones I have somehow. The day is not progressing well.
Sounds like the classic 14mm lug bolt into a wheel with 12mm holes. Call the place that sold you the wheels & see if they can help you. Maybe they'd swap you wheels that fit. Good luck.
Nope. It's the head of the bolt that is too big. The holes in the wheels are fine. I found out that the Motegi wheels I have require the skinny spline head bolts.
Today to pulled my car out of the garage and wiped it down with Dodo Juice Basics of Bling Detailing Spray. The stuff is awesome and removes water spots and light pine tree sap.
In my area, Discount/American Tire has the Tuner style lugs in stock or can get them in 1/2 of a day from the warehouse. I would do that before messing with sending the wheels back. Don
Yes get some tuner lugs. I had to buy some to fit my Panasports on my Miata. McGard is a great brand.
Filled up with 93, washed the windshield and had a nice, but too short, drive around with the sunroof open.
How do you feel about that AEM intake? I had heard some disturbing reports that the plastic part above the turbo sometimes melts. This unit is one of my considerations. That and the M7 one.
I installed Way Motor Works turbo wrap. It installs under the factory heat shield and greatly reduces under hood temperatures as well as improving turbocharger efficiency. WMW Turbo Heat Shield - Way Motor Works I also remover the phony grill in the air scoop, making it functional.
I've had the AEM installed since the first of the year, and at the risk of jinxing myself, I'll say it has performed admirably. This includes MOTD and 8-9K assorted miles (very few of them in-town driving) since installing. I am thinking about the WMW turbo wrap sometime in the future though.
Just got back from the Goodyear Tire Shop. Finally found some "tuner" lug bolts and had the guys transfer the TPMS from my wheels to the new ones and install my Eagle GT's on the new wheels. I'm happy with the way they look, but now I need to paint the calipers and get a new set of superfluous, not really needed, no good for the track, but good looking street-able drilled/slotted rotors. :biggrin5: If you notice, there are four wheels in the passenger seat and four tires in the boot. And, that's where they're staying until it cools off a Lot. I'm retired, and if for some reason I break a sweat, it means I'm doing it wrong. I do believe I'll have me another one o' them cold beers now.
