Or in my case, a nice ride in the park... Shot 76 though in 104 temps. In the MINI's maintenance world today, I ordered new front brake pads and a new fuel filter.
Frist I want to say its all MA's fault!! MA made me do it! I got up early to have a cup of coffee and study,I have a check ride coming up. Sat down to study and decided to see whats up on MA. Spent my study time on MA, finished my coffee and decided to go work out then study. I drove the MINI to the gym. Next thing I know The radar detector is in place and I am on some twistys with the SC screaming.! Oh well I guess some times its good to go off alone and scream! I'll work out later.
I drove my older son to the MINI dealer. He was thinking about buying a countryman. He drove a S and non S. Liked the S. But they had a FJ on the used lot. He would like to get it but we couldn't make a deal. Close but no deal. Also got a picture of my car next to one of the guys MINI that works there. He has a nice R53
Took my car out for a ride today with my Winter tires on. UGH :mad2:Michelin Pilot A/S plus tires are so soft and squeaky it's like driving on balloons that always break loose. rrr: I miss warm weather and my stiff Summer Dunlop ZII Star Specs with TONS of grip. Come on Spring and Dragon season.....:biggrin5:
Aren't you rushing winter a bit? Heck it's not even fall yet. It will be another month or so before I put winter shoes on.
Its been getting cold here and I don't want to get stuck on my Dunlops in the cold weather. I will save that tread for the Dragon. :ihih: Plus my bones are old and I hate working on my car in the cold.
So yesterday drove my older son back up to the MINI dealer to close the deal on the FJ Cruser. Of course we went in the mini. I backed it in opposition all the new minis. They just stared at each other. My MINI was the only one parked oppitset of them, it was easy to see who the pick of the litter was. Made a deal on the FJ it's the first time my son has baught a car! Big shout out to our motoring advisor Ashley for making it a good experience.
I walked by the both of them sit'n in the garage and thought, hell somebody oughta dust those damn things off!
