lol -- not me. I took mine out and drove to work. Had to drive around a Cadillac CTS that hydroplaned into a concrete divider. Good thing the divider was there, he would have gone into oncoming rush hour traffic.
I bought mine a little gift the other day. A nice gallon jug of Mobil 1 Full synth. And I shall give the ole girl a little transfusion with a new filter tomorrow since its supposed to be nice. Im a weeeee bit over due. I know I know, I am a terrible person
Second trip today I motored over to MA Global Headquarters to pick up and pay for the 4 aluminum jack stands from Nathan and while there ordered and paid for my new MA Calendar. It's nice to be a local yocal.
Today I dropped off my headliner frame to be recovered by a professional. I can pick it up tomorrow or Wed then I can have the fun of putting it back in. What a PITA, well it's not really that hard it's just I am not as flexible as I was in my 20's.
Drove a 7 mile country road consisting of a series of 15 MPH curves separated by small straights - a favorite of sports cars. BMW sedan following. I left him behind on curves, whipping effortlessly around them, and I let him catch up some just before the next curve. Saw him in my rear view mirror nearly lose it - howling tires and swerving - and after that he disappeared having given up the chase. Probably needed clean underwear. Ha! Not many can keep up with modded MCS in the curves.
I'm sitting the waiting room at the Old Dover garage. Took Babs clubster in for an oil change. Waiting for the oil to cool a bit & drain into the sump, then it's wrench time. Edit... All finished. The shade tree mechanic moves slower these days. He's getting old.
Drove home in traffic in the dark yesterday. Saw out of the corner of my eye (but mostly heard) an object come flying from my front right, skid off of my hood, and go bouncing. Left a few big gouges and a nice little dent on my hood. Traffic was at a standstill when it happened. I would like to believe that no one would throw an object at a car but I admit I'm kinda jaded... Anyhow, my Mini has a few deep scars on his face now. Sigh... :frown5:
Real sory to hear that. I know a dud that could paint the hood for you. It will look rusty when he finishes.
Saw mine today, it's all apart, covered with body shop dust and has holes in places there should not be holes. Watching the sausage being made is no fun at times...
I'm willing to put money on the fact that the rebuild pics of my first MINI are more disturbing than what you saw today.
Today I took my MINI out for a run and voted out the current cast of idiots in the PA government. :ihih:
Oh when I was out in my MINI today I finally found a rattle that has been driving me nuts for years. It was easy to find with the headliner removed since it's out being recovered.
