Golf! What and where? They stopped playing serious a month or so ago. I think!

    :)

Took Scooter out for another romp today, just a friendly store run! It was good. :)

I was crossing the street (walking) when a black-eye purple (purple Haze) MINI stopped at the intersection. I tapped on his bonnet to get his attention and gave him the thumbs up.

Driver was so surprised he waved back and almost spilled his coffee on himself.

I haven't seen another black-eye purple MINI other than mine on the streets of Vancouver in years.

Year-round golf is one of the few perks to living in this democrat controlled oasis!

Velvet Red, one of my favorite colors. I think I have only seen 4-5 of them

    since 2002.

I've seen a few out on the roads around here, our ride coordinator had a VR justa cabrio until last year. Then she traded it in for an Eclipse grey Roadster S.

Personally, my favorite rare MINI color is the Silk Green, which makes no sense because I normally HATE light greens! :)

I'd have figured your favorite color was faux rust. Colors are an odd thing, some colors that you don't like just somehow do on the right car. I'm with you on the silk green, but on a MINI it works.

Any way you use a camera on it is "not a good angle"... They shoulda kept the Clubman as a 2 1/2 door. :(

Straight on from the side doesn't look as bad to me, but that angle makes the rear quarter look very awkward with how the glass curves in and how the sheet metal protrudes out. It's an even bigger exaggeration of the bubble butt of the F56 hardtop.

Maybe it is the lighting/shadow, but the front end reminds me of this....

I could be wrong, I often am, but I read somewhere that the clubman was going to be a 4 door with clam shell rear doors like the current clubman.

They added 2 rear doors to that F55, but it made the front door pretty tiny. With the drivers seat moved back where I'd have it to drive there isn't enough room for anyone with legs to sit behind me. Plus the B pillar is next to my mellon. The rear doors make loading & unloading stuff easier at the expense of those tiny front doors. One other thing, heck those new new MINIs cost a heck of a lot. Affordability is a word no longer spoken by MINI.

That's not the new Clubman. That's the new 4-door hatch.
The front end is high due to the EURO pedestrian crash regulations. It's all those "safety" regulations that is ruining the looks of all the new cars coming out nowadays.

Got the first look at my new dash panels via email today. I can't wait to get them in hand and installed now. Although, it may have to wait until warmer temps return in the spring. :(
