Got the mini road worthy just a min ago. She's heading to the Stealership for a new power steering pump,FOOOORRR FFREEE (that is the only reason they get to touch it)

Wonder what loaner they are going to give me...

Now that you can see where you're going it will only take you an hour to drive to donuts.
Don't forget to clean the cigar shmutz off the inside of your windscreen. :)

Dealer rant: Showed up to the dealership today for an appointment I had made over a month ago. My car was imported from Italy about 8 months ago. I Gave the dealer my VIN and explained my issue with my power steering when I made the appointment. The service advisor informed me everything would be covered under warranty and made the appointment. I made it very clear it was recently imported, he said it wasn't an issue after looking at my VIN!

I live around 100 miles away from the dealer, When I showed up they told me they could not work on the car till the warranty was registered here in the USA.Takes about a week for this to happen. That would have been good to have known prior to the trip there and back!

It was a frustrating morning! Thanks for listening :)

No F56 loaner for me today! Might be more bummed about that...

Thats some BS, but I have actually come to expect it from Schomp. :(
At one point when I was buying the R60 last month, The finance guy said I cant even change my own oil or it would void the warranty... So I grabbed my Jeep keys off his desk, stood up and told him that I will do my own maintenance and explained that doing so could not void any warranty, and aftermarket parts couldn't void it either unless it is directly related to the failed part. Then I said if they weren't ok with that, I was headed to MINI of Loveland, and they would be getting my money.
He changed his mind real quick!

Hope you got their commitment to cover under warrantee in writing. I just had a case where I was told by Whirlpool customer service they would cover replacing the ice maker in my fridge, then they reneged on that and said the other representative didn't document the conversation and they couldn't cover it. Not that concerned about the $, but when you say you'll do something, then you ought to do it. Needless to say, I'll never buy another Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid product again. Best of luck to you!

I drove my kiddo to school (which I rarely ever do since I have to be at work before school starts)! :D

It really kills me how many people driving around the school don't pay any attention to what's going on around them. Driving near the school, I saw one minivan pull out of an intersection into oncoming traffic (I think the guy thought EVERYONE had a stop sign), and not 30 seconds later, a white Prius parked on the side of the road pulls out directly in front of me, and stops in the middle of the street. I mean, seriously...if you're gonna be a dumba** driver, at least make sure you do it away from an elementary school.

    Anyhoo...end rant. :p

Took advantage of a vacation day as well as the near 70° temperature and clear skies to change the oil and filter in the MINI. Usually do the service in my garage, but it is just too nice of a day not to do it in the driveway and put on a show for the folks who are moving in across the street. It was really soothing laying on my back waiting for the oil to drain and watching the blue sky and the few clouds. Sure beats going to work!

Taking the Jeep out for a little exercise tomorrow. Wait until next week when I have it parked in the grass so that the mud falls on the yard and not on the driveway as I wash it. That should really impress them.
    Here’s last time for reference:

I went and washed all the crud off the Porker, took the roof rack cross rails off, and poked around under the hood for a little bit to see how much space is available for future upgrades...
    Then I called it a day. :(
Just because the air is in the mid 40's that doesn't mean the concrete floor is the same temp... Still trying to get warmth back into my feet! So tired of cold climate living. :(
