Heck, I drove the R53 four whole miles this afternoon. I broke the speed limit the entire way! I may also mention this was four miles of city street driving at 5:30pm. Those commuters made for great obstacles to dodge as I worked my way through the pack.
Took my S out for a spin in yesterday's frigid weather on the snow-covered back roads to see how my newly-changed tranny fluid was working. Ahhh, not even a hiccup! I was so enthused that I stopped to let the dog romp thru the snowdrifts a bit before returning home. What a great day! Thanks again, Best Motor Werks!
Both our MINI's started, but the dirty brown one ran the errands. Pretty sloppy out there, but what's a few more layers of salt?
Started my wife's S just now and cleaned off the snow and ice...she's good to go tomorrow to her errands. She's looking forward to getting out and about on her own again...is that what they call cabin fever?
I blew the huge amount of snow from our blizzard off my driveway with a leaf blower today. We may have got 2 inches total...Stupid weather forecasters. :mad2:
Wow, you guys got hammered! I would say, I would come dig ya out in the Jeep, but... Well I think you've got this.
Kept it in the garage to keep it clean until the roads are dry from the whopping 3 inches of snow that we got. Also, ordered it new JCW brakes, rear control arms, Greene Performance BC Racing Coilovers with swift springs and a DeatschWerks fuel pump.
Bill you should pick up a new fuel filter and do that also while you are replacing the fuel pump. Savvy, Menda and I all picked up the same pump from Colin and we are all replacing our when it warms up before the Dragon.
Went motoring up the new south Fraser perimeter highway. It was fun. While stopped at a traffic light, I thought about my fellow MINI motorers on the east side of the continent and hoped all were safe. Then the light turned green and I motored on. :biggrin5:
Last night, gave it a partial hand wash at the spray bay. Lost dexterity and feeling in my fingers for about 10 minutes. Fracking hades it was cold out.
I took on a drive! A nice twisty road. I was groving to the rhythm of the road. Going down a straight I see a MINI! And get this(are you listening Dave) the dud waves! Man some days are well you know! When we get to the Dragon let's all line up and wave at Dave when he goes by!
