Today I drove down to Helix to hang out and drop off my wife's leftover cookies. Yeah it was another nice size box full of different kinds. Feeding your local shop is always a good idea. I found a cracked grounding point on the aluminum engine mount that Eric fixed without having to buy a 100.00. Simple fix drill anoter hole on the engine mount and use a new nut and bolt. (Issue resolved)
I removed a cancerous tumor from the front of mine... Cant wait to dicect it, and find out just how bad I really F56'ed it up!
Took my S out for a 100 mile drive to visit a sick friend and his family. They are hurting healthwise as well as financially, so I took them today's dinner...fresh sliced beef brisket bbq sandwiches for the adults and chicken fingers for their little boy. What a nice day...sunny and a somewhat warm 48 degrees. After chowing down, my buddy and I sat on his front porch and made a burnt offering of a coupla cigars to the "sure hope Spring comes soon" gods!
Put my IE adj. camber plates on. When I get back in town I will install the adj. rear control arms then it off to the aliment shop! Thanks Dave and Nathan for the help!
I am going to go out for another run today and then wash my MINI and wife's SUV before our Monday rain / snow storm.
^^^ It's guys like you who bring the bad weather. You have now guaranteed us foul weather with salty slush on the roads. I'm releasing my angry pigeons to search out your MINI for a bombing run.
Last week's C3M GroundHog Day run was called on account of weather. Had it today instead... 20+ cars thought the twistys of Frederick and Thurmont, MD.
I went out and practiced my perfect 3-2 downshifts on roads that were dry for the first time in weeks.
On Saturday, went to the C&C in Lafayette Colorado, then motored up to Johnson's Corner on I25 to meet with the MINI5280 folks, good turnout in both places. About 25 or so MINIs went out for some fun roads after our meeting and brunch. Posted up a couple of Public Albums on FB, if you FB, search for me. Today, I washed and Hyrdo'd both MINIs, a double wash for Scooter as he got some mud from Stove Prairie Road up near Masonville, CO. All in all a great day, pretty and nice mountain roads.
Got The Helmet out and took it for a drive in the rain before I visit the hospital tomorrow to get my pipes unclogged so that I'm back in shape for the Dragon.
Nope...MY S is neatly tucked away in the garage, along with the Cooper, awaiting nicer weather. The wife said she didn't want me to wash her car, so I didn't [happy wife, happy life, ya know]. We'll see how happy she is when she learns it is HER car we'll be driving over the next few wintry days! :ihih: BTW...that poor lil Fiat....
