Hey take it easy on Firebro, some folks like bait fish..... Yesterday drove the Blu one to my Doc. Today drove the Blu one to the Vet. George the cat has no tolerance for rev limiter shifting.
YOU just need me to take the Cooper to MAG and to run me around so you can use up some boredom!:ihih:
Had mine on a flatbed to visit the Helix lads. Hopefully, my insurance company gets off their ass, and gets in there before the end of the week so they can start the repairs. Before you all ask... on my way into work, I ran over a piece of cast iron that was lying right in the middle of the road. Didn't see it until it was too late. I certainly wasn't expecting the noise, or bumps, to be as violent as they were. Not 100% sure which piece it was... because I started throwing them the second my hands touched them. But here's what they came from. Some jack-wagon managed to move the pole off the road... but left some of those cast iron bits on the opposite side of the road, where they found my undercarriage. Thankfully, the motor seems to have gotten off without a scratch. (Fingers crossed that stays the case.) The lower vibratecnics wishbone got bent with a direct hit. The fuel tank took a gnarly hit as well. It didn't puncture it... but deformed it hard enough, that it broke the housing for the fuel filter in such a way that the fuel wasn't getting to the motor. (At least that seems to be the initial diagnosis) I know the Check-less-mate is in good hands. But... this is not the way I needed to come back from a week long trip to Disneyworld.
So now you are on the list of all of us who are scrambling to get our cars fixed, built, or done before the Dragon... Hopefully your insurance handles it fast!
Sorry that happend Savvy! Put the lower adjustable control arms on. Now just waiting to get it aligned.
That sucks Savvy. Man that could have been so much worse. I see it all of the time, trucks with unsecured loads. They drop carp on the road & drive along blissfully unaware or uncaring as to what just happened. :incazzato:
I just got mine back from the dealer, had the timing chain tensioner start to fail at 37,000 miles, and had it replaced last week at 38,500 miles. Luckily my aftermarket warranty covered most of it! Car has more pep now! Just ordered an Alta CAI and turbo inlet tube, should get it tomorrow! I'm actually quite enjoying my R56. Not the flag car, but a nice, solid fun car nonetheless. Torn on my next car to be a new JCW, or one of the 2016 Focus RS's....
Got all of my parts for my major service week..........tensioner, idler pulley, spark plugs, camber plate bearings, bushings, bushings and more bushings, Koni yellows, aux input for radio. I anticipate some major aches and pains soon......
