Heh... I hit the Victorian Village, Arena District, Short North and Italian Village today. I'm getting around. Watch out, I may catch up yet.
Swapped out my EBC rotors and pads for my OEM ones. The EBC rotors both had casting imperfections in the sameplace that made it feel like a warped rotor. However I am officially over 54k and my brakes feel great.
Went to ride into work today and while clearing the windshield the wipers stopped dead center :nonod: was running late so it will have to wait till later to check fuse and so on............. had to drove the Beast again today
Don't ya love it? I discovered the other night that the switch for my driving lights won't turn them on. I have done nothing to them, so who knows why? Jim
Must be a Justa problem :lol::lol::lol: I've been waiting to say that :ihih: But seriously.... that stinks :mad2:
If they are wired using the factory harness, they will only come on with the high-beams of the headlights, though I doubt this is the problem. I discovered last night that both of my seat heaters have stopped working some time during the Texas summer... I can't remember using them since MOTD 2011. It's time to go digging through the fuse box.
Ok so I did some research around the forums see that the 1st gen cars had a problem with wiper motors. So I came home ready to start playing around, put the key in turn it on and try the wipers, cause I also read that today. Well they work fine now..... See it's one of those British car things. Needless to say I'll be driving to work tomorrow in the MINI, but I won't clean the windscreen with the wipers before I go
Jim my best guess is corrosion. Pull the fuse & clean the contacts. Apply dielectric grease when you do. Check the ground also.
Added more miles in my quest to be the mileage king. Talked with my friend Kimster today & she informs me her 2004 r50justa justa turned over 145,000!!! Wow that's a pile o miles.
Thanks Crash. Checking the fuse would be a great idea, but there is not one listed on the fuse panel and the Bentley does not even address driving lights. I am guessing that it could be a bad connection at the battery, as I had been messing around there back when I installed the amp. I don't drive much at night, so I have no idea when this happened. One question. the little light that shows where the switch is, lights, but the green light to say they are on, will not. Would this have another power source or is that telling me there is power so look elsewhere? Jim
Jim..... Outmotoring is your friend.... http://www.outmotoring.com/images/how_to/MIN_R56_aux_lights.PDF Page 3 & 4 show you where the fuse is. You would never want to install driving lights without a fused circuit.......
Thanks MM. It seems to be part of the wiring harness, so I shall look for it. Looking at the wiring lay out it must be getting power or the dash light for the switch would not come on and it does. The dealer installed this, so I'm not sure what the problem is now. If it is getting power to the switch, but the light won't turn on, got any ideas? BTW: Let me add that the two after market driving lights I wired are working just fine. Jim
Mine was a bit frostier than that. No pictures taken at 5:30 am. The city always seems a bit warmer, heat island & all. Nathan be careful your tires will have all the stick of a hockey puck on ice in these cold temps. Added another 25 miles this morning.
