Paul--just noticed the passenger window is down. Probably means the passenger seat is ruined. Just sayin'...:biggrin5:
Yeah, both windows are cracked. That happens when you crash - they stay in the "door opening" position. We'll see how much water got in over time. I noticed it before I bought it.
No...in MY S, it is ACTUAL smoke smear! :ihih: Still, Savvy, yours does have a healthier appearance....:arf:
I would still kill to have both a driver and passenger shelf in my R53! Getting rid of the valance under the steering wheel, and the glove box, cleans up a semi race prepped interior so much.
Since I am driving my r50 to MOTD this year, I decided to brave the dense fog alert this morning and make my way to the dealer in Dublin, OH, for a complete "make my car roadworthy" session. It's a 75 mile trek, and was a miserable drive. My lights worked well, but the Cooper kept having a "thunkity-thunk" noise over about every bump. That, plus driving in extremely obscure conditions, concerned me a lot, plus I no longer have a cell phone to use for "HEEELLLLPPPP" calls. I was less than 2 miles from the dealer when my right front wheel bearing decided to go. I was VERY fortunate to limp into the dealer. Now, my R50 [CVT and all] runs like new again and I am SOOOOOOO lucky!
Good thing you got that out of the way Jeff! Looking foreword to seeing some Silk Green on the Dragon!
Jan is going to put a new ecu tune on it...I just want it to be a little speedier, but without tearing up the CVT in the process. Yeah, I know, but it has been such a great car and, if anyone can do it, it is Jan!
Firebro...That is quite possibly the hardest piece of an R53/50/52 to find! I have only ever seen ONE in person! And I have been playing with MINIs for 8 years now! Call them back and pay it!
Here is a much cheaper idea, don't carry so much crap in your MINI.:lol: I have a glove box and everything I need fits in it. I epoxy glued the armrest shut and do not keep nothing in my doors either. Rattles = :incazzato::mad2: Less rattles= :biggrin5:
Just picturing that happening on my way down to the Dragon on I-75 [or on the way home, as well] is frightening enough, but what would I have done if it had happened ON the Dragon, or on one of the many, MANY remote twisties in the area? BRRRRRRRR...just the thought makes my flesh creep....:yikes:
Washed my car today for the first time in a month. I was surprised to discover that what I thought was an Eclipse Gray Metallic R55 is actually Midnight Black.
