Had car detailed. During the process, the dealer removed, dropped and broke my fancy new cup holder. Product Page | BMW Mini cup holder Detail was free as a result. Ordered another new cup holder. May or may not arrive before the dragon. If not, I'll have to set up an iv-drip in the passenger seat to mainline my morning coffee...

You should just plan to mainline it regardless

I removed and redid my belt line trim. I broke a few clips but picked 2'dozen extras ath the local dealership for $13 bucks.

All put back together and looking good. Time to start Spring cleaning the car by stripping off all the sealant and wax that has crude in it. Then I can polish and reseal and wax everything for the Dragon.

All the cars maintainiance has been done and she is ready to go mechanically.
Brakes, new upgraded fuel pump, replaced filter, new plugs, air filter cleaned, oil and tran fluid changed, coolant flushed and filled, brake fluid flushed and replaced with fresh Motul 600 alignment done. All I have to do tomorrow is instal my harness and clean it.

    ^^^ Very Nice Savvy.

I took my car out for a morning shakedown run and had no issues. :D

Came home and did quick wash, stripped all the wax and sealant then clayed the car front to rear, rocker to rocker. Maybe tomorrow I will start the polishing process then add 1 layer of sealant.

And I stocked up for the Dragon. The Lord Chesterfield is being delivered. The other three are fair game.

Traced down a charging issue I was having with the Rat-MINI, found it, fixed it, and feel stupid... It was such an easy mistake, and I would have never thought to check what it turned out to be if it didn't die in the driveway.

Also got the suspension dialed the rest of the way in, and will be playing with tire pressures now. :)

Got an e-mail from Chuck at mini-stuff today saying that my new cup holder is going out Monday and that I'll likely have it by Wednesday or Thursday! Talk about good customer service! Looks like I won't have to set up the IV caffeine drip after all!

Having someone do the grass for you seems like a great trade. But maybe since we are now doomed to yet another snow storm maybe shoveling would be a better trade.

Polished up my stripped done car today. I only needed 2 passes to buff everything out and then I added 2 layers of sealant, 2 layers of wax and one last coat of sealant that will stay on it until tomorrow. Also re-Rain-X all the glass.

No need to move it from the garage this week.

The harshness kit I got to wire the RADAR DETECTOR had an led that could be dash mounted.
Didn't really think I needed it, until I mounted the redline on my the visor. It has a lip, and kind of blocks the view of it.
That, combined with my audio upgrade, makes it hard to know when it's actually warning.

SO. I decided to install the led.
It's a dual colour led. Green for on, then switches to red during an alert. I didn't want to punch a hole anywhere on the dash, so I pulled apart the tach, and mounted it in one of the blank light spots.

That combined with the V2 toggle board, makes for a stealthy install!!
