MINI related in that there is one in the picture, but helped Crashton install his RSB on his GTI and got a visit from a new to the group mkIV GTI. Was going to get a better group shot, but the mkIV was missing it's front grill (it was recovering on the garage floor from it's 3rd coat of plasti dip).
Thanks wrench monkey's..... Yes big fun installing handle fast parts on my non-MINI aka the GTI. Thanks to the help from my ex-MINI owner friends Brain & Jason my GTI is turning with gusto! :arf:
Cleaned the inside and glass. Mounted my gps/phone holder. Checked all the fluids again and tire pressures. Getting stuff packed.
I just got back from picking up my new-to-me MINI. You'all didn't lie---IT IS A BLAST TO DRIVE... I leave for the Dragon on Wednesday. c-ya all there.
Well after my swaybar installation our crack test driver said he wanted even moar cornerfast. So this morning the crack pit crew of Chuck & Babs tightened this up another notch. All is well & I'm a happy old fart.
Diverted some of my MINI budget to sponsor a friend in the Daffodil Run - a charity run for cancer research. Sorry, MINI. There sometimes are more important things than motoring.
