Curse that "job" thingy  I put the GP wheel back on with a brand new set of Continental DSWs. My tire guy loves me so much, he even waxed my wheels (really!). Now I have track wheels and DD wheels. Of course I'm flat broke now too :blush2:

    4th of July Parade Giggle

20 of us from West Coast MINI took part in the 4th of July Parade in Oceanside, CA this AM and had a ball. One of the announcers told the crowd who we were and what neat little cars the MINI are. He then said that if you throw water on one it will grow up to be a normal size car! My head hit the steering wheel twice and 8hrs later I'm still chuckling. What a HOOT for a day!

Im on the couch the rest of the weekend. Clayed the JCW and the Countryman, then used my PC with Groits Machine Polish 4 followed by Griots Best of Show Wax on both MINI's. Cleaned the interiors and the windows. The JCW is a snap...the Countryman is a PITA.

I wish I would have known you were detailing cars yesterday. Sounds like the JCW wasn't enough of a challenge and the Countryman was too much of a challenge. I bet a Clubman would have been just right!

Today I created a paint booth out of a box and am in the process of plasti-dipping my gas cap. Thinking about de-badging the back of the car in between coats.

It's the regular black. I just put on the third coat and then proceeded to scuff one side as I was sitting it back down:mad5: We'll see how it turns out after I put the fourth coat on. At least I can always just peel it off and start over another day if I don't like it.
