Yeah. Pretty much. Had to eat the cost of shipping them back... but so did they. Hopefully, tonight I can get the driver's seat in. When I called them up to explain the issue(s), at first they were flabbergasted.... "we've never heard of these issues before!" So, I took plenty of pics, sketched up a simple blueprint, and sent the brackets back. They made all new brackets, reinstalled the sliders, and shipped them back. They were more than amenable to the situation. If anyone else gets seats out of an Evo 8, and wants them in their R53... contact www.Wedgebrackets.com and ask for Scott.

Visited Helix today! As good as it was to see Eric, Mike, Isaiah, Ryan and surprise guest Zach (Zillion), the best part of my day was visiting Dallesandro's where I ordered and consumed not one, but TWO entire Cheese Steaks "wit" Wiz, onions, and crushed hot peppers. Can you say FULL BELLY?!?!

Got her ready for summer driving. Purchased and installed 4 piston return springs and a larger diameter muffler bearing.

Drove Locutus to the DMV office, and finally completed title paperwork for GP0769, and paid taxes on it. Need to get an inspector to visit the house and confirm that I actually do have it... then can get a title. For a car that I will never drive. Dumb, but required by law.

Why is it required by law? The GP was only a parts car the convertible has the VIN.

I purchased the car. I have to pay taxes on it, parts car, or not. And in this state, the way you do that is by titling it.

I would have claimed the car was in parts and that it was very well packed up for shipment.

If it has a VIN... it's a car. Sadly.

    Gotta ask,
Did you change jobs so you could spend more time @ Helix plus you know, cheese steaks?

    Jealous minds want to know.

That lunch was fantastic - thanks again, Whales.

As for me... well, the GP threw down 230 HP/ 210 TQ on the Helix dyno. :ihih:

And the only way to get rid of it after it has "out lived it's usefulness", in my neck of the woods anyway is with a title in hand.

The new job does let me work "virtually" (no office)...

More time at Helix??? More Cheesesteaks??? We'll see...

The increased horsepower and larger waistline will give me away!

Goddamn - 2 cheesesteaks? Impressive! Sorry timing didn't work out today - catch you next time!

Nice numbers for a stock car on a hot humid day!

Last night managed to get the driver's side seat installed.

Much better fit with these new Wedge brackets. I can actually grab the stock seatbelt without having to open the door now. It is as close as you could hope to get to being centered on the steering wheel. You wouldn't think that 1/2 - 5/8 of an inch would be a big/noticeable difference........ it was. Believe me.

At any rate the ride to work this morning was glorious. Gotta love commuting on the days when more than half of the post's workforce is on their RDO.

Hate to say it again Savvy, but those seats look like poo on camera! I know its the material, and in person they look much better, but not in pictures.

Think 1/2-5/8 of an inch off center is bad... Try driving a military H1 Hummer... The steering wheel is about 3-4 inches to the right from the center of the "seat", you pretty much have to sit at an angle if you want to use both hands!

Went to the Louisville Farmers Market in the Countryman, it is going to be a good year, opening day at the market, tamale booth, bread booth or two and a guy selling Mexican/New Mexican style hot sauces.

The pup and wife enjoyed it too.

    :)

Today my R53 chassis turned over this many miles...

    (83,000)

So I put in $50 worth of this...

    (A little over 7 gallons)

Then it had a light snack...

(Poor little guy, I doubt he felt much. :( )
