Maybe when you move to NC you'll change your mind. There's a lot more moisture in the air.

I lived in the south for 3 years with no A/C in my car... It's nothing windows can't handle once your body adapts.

Polished the headlight lenses (a multi-step process, they look better, but...).

Went and had Tacos al Pastor as a reward.

The plate on the Mini... does that mean you bought the car from Kjell Qvale of SF British Motor Cars?

Thanks for asking. No I didn't buy it from the Qvale family. I do know the ownership history and it's about as interesting as it comes. This was originally his oldest son's car and was later owned by his younger son. Check out my garage for a bit of the story... The plates pay tribute to the car's history and Mr Q.

Still deciding if I am even going to register for MITM... Only going up for Saturday, might do the car show, if I register... Still have a couple hours.

Money I had saved up for the event has already been spent... (Well reserved actually) Getting a new and way better Meth system for the Rat.

I would go for the meth system. Car shows are fun, but all you will get is a trophy , IF they give trophies. I threw out over 100 plaques and trophies that I won at various air-cooled VW shows and events. I would drive the Rat to the show, not register, and watch all the people go nuts over it. After all, getting to the show is half the fun...

Dropped off the car at the alignment shop - picking up at the end of the day. Wheels finally will be straight after a complete suspension overhaul.

And since I am spending money on the car, and M7 has a sale, I finally ordered the strut brace. Gotta protect yourself from strut tower fungus.

Decided to pay the $45 and register for the MITM car show. #277 For the whole event, with 2 1/2 hours left until registration closes. Safe to say I am last!

Don't know why I like waiting until the last minute to sign up, but I do the same for the Dragon.

$45 To stand around a parking lot for a day... I've had worse.

I wet sanded my headlights with 2000, 2500 and 3000 and then buffed them out to a nice clean finish.

They will look great when I get my car back from the bodyshop later this week. I am having the hood repainted and new aero bumper. I will be puting everything back together to make sure everything is reassembled and aligned correctly.
