Are you going to clear bra it after it fully cures? I was never a clear bra fan until I did the Helmet, now I'll never have a car without it. Three years and not a single chip on the bumper, hood or headlights. The next time I'll do the entire hood so that there is not the line you get when just doing the front half.
When I paint the hood of the Porker, I will probably have somebody do one of the good spray on bra's over the whole front of the car. I have paint chips out the because The gravel trucks use the same roads I use to go to work. Oh well gives me an excuse to do something crazy.
Put the chrome work back on the engine and had the it smoged http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/images/dto_garage/users/555/1957.jpg
Went to the DMV, paid the $49 and got a sticker to keep it legal on the road for another 12 months. Herself can now zip around with abandon.

What I really like about this MINI.... It looks even better when it could use a good wash and doesn't get one....
Today I went and looked at my MINI at the body shop. They called me, to come look at two little paint spots because they know I am very picky. Everything looks good and I would be picking up my car Monday.
Today I rotated my tires, and while I had them off, I detailed the rims using Dave.0's recipe including Ferrous Dueller, Blackfire Wet Diamond, and RainX.
Full detail, done! Took me a few days as I have to work in bits and pieces. Here's the process so far, Day 1 Clayed, top to bottom, including the glass. Washed. Dried Applied a coat of Adam's Paint Sealant to painted surfaces. Applied a coat of Adam's Glass Sealant to all the glass. Rinsed and then applied a coat of Adams' H20 Guard and Gloss (I LOVE THIS!) Day 2 Cleaned interior surfaces with Adams Leather & Interior cleaner. Applied a coat of Adam's Leather Conditioner to leather portion of seats, the dash and doors. Day 3 Light wash and dry. Thorough wheel cleaning and dry. Applied coat of Adam's Quick Sealant to wheels. Applied coat of Adam's Super VRT to tires and rubber trim around roof. Applied coat of Adam's Quick Sealant to all the hard plastic trim. Going forward I can just wash and use the quick detail during drying. I will re-apply a fresh coat of H20 Guard and Gloss every few washes. I'm really pleased with my results and hope that doing this when it's brand new will protect the various finishes.
