Switched from "sport" over into "utility mode" for a trip to Costco & Sam's to fill the back with "essential" stuff. (At least that's how Herself saw it.) At least I got a couple of big racks of ribs for my weekend smoking, and we discovered a new to us sports bar that we both liked. :drool
Must be the day, took the Countryman to SAMs and loaded up, it ran well, felt good full of stuff. I have two MINI meetings this weekend, I think the 07 will be the MINI of choice.
Yesterday... had settlement for my first home purchase and started shuttling some small stuff over before the big move tomorrow.
Nice pic with the MINI in the window... Now.... Cram all those boxes and post a picture "What have you stuffed in your MINI lately"......
Finished swapping parts onto the Stroker, ready to hang maybe tomorrow. Sold Blimey's old head, plus headliner, LSD and Wing off the GP. It's about ready for the scrapyard.
Went to Cars and Coffee this AM, arrived late, got some good cleanup pictures. FB album, public. Then I took Scooter over to the 11AM MITM badge making and bag stuffing gathering, done and done, good group of busy people. I hope to see many of you at MITM next week, it will be fun! Bring sunscreen, water and a chair for hanging in the MINI area.
Gee, Dick...it looks as if you like those stogies, too! Me...I had a PERFECT day at the big BCD in Dayton, OH today. I won first place in the NEW MINI class! It's the first time my '03 Silk Green R50 has ever won first place there [every year since 2004], although I have taken some Awards of Excellence [aka 2nd place] before. First Place allows me to show the car next year in the Winners' Row and compete against this year's other class winners, AND I get to keep the First Place pics they took this year [they will mark the NEW MINI section at next year's show] when next year's show is over.
Managed to move everything into the new abode with help of a few other MINI friends and some family. And also broke in the front porch for a multi-hour bull$#!+ session, while watching some nice rides making their way up the street to a cruise night a few miles away. Man what chaotic couple of days. Tomorrow starts the fun of unpacking the last of the boxes, and putting the list of 'needed' essentials together.
