I need an earl change. But Rogue received a hugely overdue bath! Once again, she can stare down all the cars in the parking lot! (at Kohl's, there was a sale).
This evening, we attended a bon voyage for close friends, in Colorado for 3 years who sadly are leaving (darn oil and gas depression) and must return to Canada.
But on the bright side, it is only 17 hours from my house! I'm thinking Colorado to Calgary with a few Minis.

Installed a new motor and regulator in the passenger door. It's amazing how much easier and quicker it went the second time around. Again..... remember there is a 5mm hex in the middle of those glass nuts. It makes the job so much eaiser. (Unless you have that special spanner wrench tool.)

Been washing the insides of the MINIs' windows...cigar smoke smear and dried doggy slobber have made setting sun and headlight glare unbearable lately.

Got back from two days of Monterey car week early this morning. Threw together some last minute graphics and installed a Fubrication GP wing to add some horsepower before heading down.

Don't be too hard on yourself, Lee. It's one of those things you can't know until you've had them out. Unless of course, you bought new ones for some goofy reason to do the job. At any rate, it is a shallow hex. So, make sure you have the Allen wrench seated and square prior to "going for it." If the windows have never been out, they will be TIGHT. Just take it easy and watch your knuckles. Once they are loose the rest of it is easy-peasy.

Pulled off broken bumper, got first look at engine without the radiator and intercooler in the way. Compression and leak down tests (PASSED!!!!). Replaced squished TMAP sensor. Ran it for a while!

Pulled an oil sample to make sure I don't have bearing damage. But so far, so good!

Today I replaced the foam seal above the radiator and the cigarette lighter socket. The MINI gods smiled on me, all went well.

Today I saw that MC2 Barry was added to the Modified MINI Cooper FB page.....so I said goodbye to that one too. Why do these butt holes follow me around?

Just another reason to embrace the fact that I don't do FB. No extra butt holes for me.

With my pickup down again, I drove the R53. God does it need some bushings.

I think the trailer hitch MAKES that picture. And the perfect sky background.
