I sold it! Or rather, I traded it..... for one of these Mines not orange though. It's Thunder Grey w/white top, and nicely optioned. I'll see if I can get a picture of it. The dealer is going to deliver it to me at home, either today or Friday. I live 70 miles away.
Have no idea what some of the options are/do, but I guess I'll get it through OJT like I did with my '07. Sure hope I don't regret this later. I have over a thousand bucks in parts sitting in my living room floor that I'll have to sell now.
Congrats! It surprised me how quick the F56 actually is in a straight line... A buddy's totally stock automatic ran a 14.4 at Bandemere during the big car show... Translate that to an altitude where there is actually air, and the car would be running somewhere in the mid 13 second range... Quick even for today's standards.
Nice ride !! I think I like the grey and white myself, but you can live with it for while and change it at a later date if'n you still desire the red.
Nice fish. Btw, great color combo, first off I would upgrade the brakes on the F56, then paint or vinyl since ModFather is far away, unless you like road trips. Perhaps an upgrade rear-sway, too. These little guys scoot well, but wallow a bit. Don
Belt line blackout with matte vinyl and removed / polished the lower vents the previous owner had taped onto the car (I noticed the corners were coming up)... I'm not sure how I feel about the rear end now. May install a rear fog light to even it out.
It already has the Sport Suspension option. I'm still researching this option 226 to see what bits were changed. From everything I've read, it's a serious improvement over stock and is 20% stiffer than the variable dampers. And, thanks, I think. It get's delivered to my house Friday AM and I'm already thinking of mods. Need to just drive it stock for a while.... at least until I can sell off some of these R56 parts.
Stripped everything out of and off of the R56 that wasn't standard equip or bolted down. The dealer is getting way too much good stuff on the car as it is. I'm gonna have lots of bits and pieces to sell. Hate that I'm giving the R56 up with a full tank of 93 octane too. I briefly thought about driving the heck out of it today and using up some of that gas, but no, I don't trust my luck that much right now. Dealers bringing the new car to me tomorrow and picking this one up. Sigh...
Vetsvette, I'm both happy and sad for you. Your R56 is looking good. Did you got an auto or were you able to stick with a manual?
