I might, when I'm done. Probably between 300 and 325. Of course, I could have had a Cayman S for what I'll have in the car at that point. The RMW turbo kit can make 320, and then some.
Went down to the shop this morning... Replaced the rear discs and pads... I kept getting the yellow warning light that the MINI needed brake service..... Turns out the rear pads still had about a 1/4" of material remaining... Soooo apparently the way the brake sensor works is when the pads get to a 1/4" the sensor makes contact with the disc and is grounded... This gives the yellow warning.... As you continue to drive, eventually the sensor's copper wire is worn through and this breaks the circuit that then gives a red brake warning... IMHO, MINI is having the brakes replaced way too soon.... I decided to disarm the sensor by removing it completely, soldered the two sensor wires together and covered the end with heat shrink tubing.... Reset the brake service warning light..... Done... It's not that big of a deal to check the pad thickness and I'll get more pad wear without the brake warning light being activated....
Chuck....You hep'd.... And thanks! Couldn't have done it without the use of your special turney brake piston retractor screwy thingy... And the "pump em up" brake fluid pusher outer extractor...
Any reason why these come on together? Seems to come on after it's been washed or rained on. Airbag light always on so ignore that, just the other 3
You literally have more lights on in your dash than a flipping prison has when an inmate escapes... Bad connectors or battery, or you might have the same problem I did and it's your ignition switch :ihih:
Ok so did you know your steering wheel is on the wrong side? You may have a bad wheel speed sensor. That's what my mini did. It's usually the left front. Don't ask me why. But it could be any of them.
Yep, that's called "the trifecta" Common problem. The wheel speed sensor is usually NOT "bad" per se... but a flaky wheel speed sensor signal is detected. Usually, disconnecting, removing, cleaning and reinstalling the left front sensor will resolve this.
Why? Lol seems like it could be that, if I do restart the car and drive a little it goes off which would make sense if it is a sensor. Also RHD FTW I know, and I've got an extra switch to turn on some extra lights in the air vents! I doubt it's the battery as I've been doing some wiring for my new headlights and everything was fine. I'll have a look at this, like I said it normally comes on after heavy rain or a proper wash so I'm thinking its dirt running on it, it does go off after restarting the car so it more than likely is the sensor. Those look fantastic, never seen halos on there own only in cluster, did you get them off eBay or out of another cluster? Also it's my birthday today! Yay!!
Cleaned the Justa today. Tried Chemical Guys Carnauba wax. Seems okay, but time will tell. Sprayed off, washed, clay bar, and polish. Time well spent. My wife thinks that I am a little OCD because I use quick detailer on the wiper arms. Time for a drink. :beer
Drove the Porker to the paint store, and to get Monster this morning... Drove the Rat to Longmont (30 miles each way) to pick up some emergency snowflake stencils from last nights debacle. Tomorrow we are taking Erin's R57 up to Aspen for the day!
My baby got a new pair of shoes. Couldn't stand the Hankook run flats any more. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All Season 215/45-17
Today I pulled the MINI and the wife's car into the garage. Big deal because 3 months ago, my side of the garage was a knife making shop...
