renewed my paid membership to M/A. You guys are so much fun. But that 71 cent Canadian dollar is making me think twice. @Nathan, sorry...I'm late. Same excuse as last year.
Today I was 30 minutes early for my free oil change on the Porker... Nothing cool on the lot to go play with, and a crowded boring waiting room... Schomp MINI's current space SUCKS! It's honestly more reminiscent of a small used car dealer than a MINI dealership.
What do you know.... It is a small used car space previously used by Schomp Honda, the new store will be 25 years into the future. Did you get the oil changed and a free wash?
Had no idea the Canadian Dollar was at that level. Good for us AMerican to travel there tho. Understand fully.. Thanks for the support.
It's only been less than 2 months for me... and I'm already stir crazy. I'm sure you're loving having Gnat back on the road. I have probably a couple more months to go.... but at last I have other cars.
Took the car to my independent Mini shop to get a couple of things done. Installed Cravenspeed Garmin GPS and Scangauge II mount and hardwired the GPS. Note to anyone with a F56... the cigarette lighter/power outlet under the center stack is not switched power! Why they changed it I haven't a clue. ut: Probably the same guy that moved the gas filler to the right side. Also installed mud-flaps.
Yep they washed and cleaned the interior, it really needed it! Now its ready to go to Wyoming for dinner tomorrow. Cant wait for the new Schomp MINI to open, it's going to be nice!
I got my reservations at Fontana for the Dragon and got a reservation for MSSD next week also.. WOOHOO...roadtrip...
Took a day off and helped set up the 50km and 25 km bike routes for this year's Ride for Refuge. There will once again be a MINI doing route marshalling and route support for the 700+ cyclists in the Vancouver BC event. https://www.flickr.com/search/?text=RideforRefuge ..and the shameless plug for this event... https://rideforrefuge.org/ For the Vancouver ride, in 2011 when I started doing this, there were just over 150 riders. For 2015, there are over 750 riders registered so far.
Trying to get motivated to go downstairs and change the oil, flush the brake fluid, and detail the interior. I'll be making my first trip to the dragon next weekend.
Cooler temperatures have set in (check local listings) and this caused all 4 tpms sensors to light up. Topped each 'tar' up with good old US air and reset the system. Interesting that the system alarm went off with at 4.5 lbs. low pressure. Anglo/German alliance really looking out for my safety and tire ware.
NY State Inspection So, a couple of weeks after owning Nigel, I finally got around to getting it inspected.:biggrin5:
Oil and brake fluid are done. I'll worry about cleaning up the interior and organizing my road trip tool kit tomorrow.
Complete a day of road marshalling and route patrol at Ride for Refuge 2015 - Vancouver. I hope there were other MINI motorers involved in other cities that held this ride in Canada and US. We had about 750 riders this year and raised about $250,000 to assist in settling refugees and homeless people in the Vancouver area.
