Yesterday we left Babs MINI in the driveway & took my MINI substitute for a fine back road drive to our favorite ice cream place. Found some new to me roads had an ice cream, life is good. :)

I drove the Porker to the Brown Santa shipping department, and sent Goldsmithy his newly painted coolant tank back...

Going to miss seeing this thing on the table...

But, I know I will see it again!

If you are going to MSSD next week, you should be able to check it out too!

Both. I dotted in the chips then took 1000 then 2000 wet sand paper to smooth them out. That looked okay. Then I tried buffing out the sanding marks. This is where the pain is. I can't get them to all go away. Between the head lights and grill is the hardest.

I even tried to color sanding. That was a lot of work with very little results!:mad2:

Sold my 07 MINI to a nice local couple, they are now a two MINI family.

I think Scooter has found a nice enthusiast driver who talked about track time when he did a test drive on Tuesday. My type of buyer.

Waiting on the dealer to get done with the prep on my new 2016 CM.

Anyone have a nice low mileage R53 2005 or 2006 I can steal, under 60K miles and pretty stock is my preference, but not for long.

    :)

Brought the fiancee's car into work to give it a good check before the CPO warranty ends in April.

Timing chain was at 70mm, 2mm out of spec, so we opted to replace it. Also replaced water pump and thermostat preemptively - this car needs to make it to 100k+

Brought home the new 16 Countryman Park Lane on Friday, started at the dealer at 11:15, done by 1PM, got home at 4:30, wonder how that happened.

I will update my garage later tonight.... :)

Took my first drive on the dragon today. It was great! We spent the first 5 miles stuck behind some slow moving harleys, until one of them finally fell over and on the return trip, discovered a 500 yard oil slick that lead to a Mazda RX-8.

I just got back from MSSD. Getting there and back, I can see why you miss it...it's beautiful. Saturday it rained most of the day...it sucked, but drove anyway.

Today I got to hear the sounds of the Rat ripping through the canyons for probably the last time this year...

It was a fun drive but lots of traffic on the roads I took, but I guess that kept me out of trouble.

Here's a tunnel video for the audio...

Still wish Erin could go with me more often, but our work/off schedules hardly ever allow it. She loves riding in that car as much as I do!

Took the MINI to Pittsburgh for a track day. Had fun, and the car left under its own power. Good day.

Took the new Countryman for it's first Club Drive with MINI5280. Good group of folks, some east of Denver roads, some up north, we ended up in Boulder.

A great Sculpture park then the club members went on a tea tour at Celestial Teas, I passed, spend some time looking a great Western bronzes and Western Art.

Clicked off 150 total on the CM, going to be slow run up to that break-in 1200, of course I do not follow the rules. So no big deal. :)

Still going to update the garage.

    :)

Put a new battery in the Not N MG. After 12 years it finally said enough. To celibate the new battery my sweetie & I took a drive out into the countryside & watched the sun set through our little roadsters windscreen. :)
