(last weekend) Blacked out the chrome grill Installed Craven Speed Strut Tower Defenders Installed custom DIY LED dome light Finally lubed the main pivot points and sliding tracks on the convertible top frame (since it's been so warm here in NJ) Ran a new ground from the radio in the hopes of improving radio reception (didn't do much, might have to check the antenna end at the roof) Applied "actual size" decal to rear window
Cool. Nevada actually allows LESS than that. 35% both ways. I'm legal. So, in keeping on topic: Today I DIDN'T worry about the tint on my car for moving to Texas. :biggrin5:
This is a great idea, but once I pulled the larger turn signal bulb, I could see the smaller driving light bulb in the housing. I was able to fiddle around with a pair of needle-nose pliers for a few minutes and grab ahold of the bulb to pull it out. It saved so much time that I detailed the car. I ran down for the inspection and I didn't even see 'em test the tint! It is possible that they did and I just missed it. Either way, I'm happy and Jango has his safety/emissions sticker for another year.
There is no separate ground at the back of the stereo as far as I know. There's one large multi-pin connector and the antenna connector. Does the multi-pin connector get grounded somewhere easy to get at? The service manual shows a ground on the door sill area, but that's not a real easy place to reach...
You have no idea how close to home your post is!....when you break the French press (last night) you need to resort to primitive actions.... This morning..........
It felt soooooooo good..... Made a spirited run down to one of my rental units and replaced a borked porch light. Made a spirited run back home..... Had the sunroof open and was blasting tunes on the radio..... The universe has righted itself, all is well, let there be light.... Stopped by my favorite restaurant and got Indian to-go......
Two part post: Took her in for Inspection 1 service. All went well if I look past the other items the dealer recommended, like brakes all around, control arm bushings, and the list goes on.... Since I have the CVT I was a little nervous that they may find something wrong with my transmission. Good news for me is that they didn't call out any issues. So at 98,500 miles I am still on the road. (This was my first CVT service since I bought the car last year). I have to admit the car seems to be running more smoothly on the way home. Secondly: Hey Crashton, I am catching up to you on miles.....
Just made it down to Jefferson Hospital in Philly. Man, you can fly at 5am on the Schukyl  The hubby's having a hip operation this morning.
