Very sad, hold the hot irons to this person insurance and now you know, we cannot be seen by the big suvs. Hope it gets repaired #1 Good...
Mine got a new battery last night and today I'll finally wash off the dirt from last weekend. It needs a good bath.
RMW'd the engine pulled out the old and put in the new: RMW BVH, Dominator cam, Header, ported/matched Intake plus all the gaskets and fluids (oil and rad). Started on the first attempt. Can't wait to tune with Jan at Helix next week in Philly! The sound alone was worth it.
Saw a 1 HP Amish race buggy today in my travels (it needed moar camber)... The race tires looked to be .075/50/48 Runflats mounted on no-dish spoked rims.... No lug nuts.... It had quick change center nuts... The entire vehicle including the engine was murdered out in all black... Absolutely no chrome... It was bad to the bone...
Took the R53 down to the local dealership and test drove a new F56S. Really nice car to drive, completely different feel than the R53. I might have to think about picking one up.... As a daily and keeping the R53 for track/weekend runs.
Changed the oil and filter on my classic, I also fixed a slight leak in the exhaust by using a band style clamp and a little RTV in the split.
Finally took a few minutes to upload some of the Park Lane pictures, updated my M/A garage. Named the 2016, introduction PennyLane, custom plate to be ordered soon, it will not be "PennyLane" abbreviated. Don
Looking good Don. Love color combination. Just what a fella needs for zipping around Colorado back roads.
I got to see it yesterday when I went to Don's place and cleared out his garage. The ParkLane exterior is stunning. MINI nailed the color combo and the metallic body but solid color roof/trim. What I like most about Don's is the interior... Light Coffee lounge leather, chrome trim, and the black gauges look perfect! Only thing I would change is the transmission, but I see his need for an auto. If the Porker wasn't so filthy (the pig has been rolling in the mud again) I would've snagged a couple pictures of all 3 R60's in his garage/driveway. Anyhow, I have to thank Don for all the donated parts! It was a full load of stuff I need that can be painted up for the Dragon... All R56/R60 stuff, and a lot of old steel pieces to make some more rust sculptures out of. The two sets of mirror caps (R60 and R56) an R56 OEM air box top, a complete R60 intake box, brake rotors, springs, suspension bits, an OE R56 intercooler, and a lot of other goodies made their way to the paint shop from Don.
Today, I am preparing 'Pepper' to go into hibernation mode. I made my wife a promise when I bought my car in May that I would not do any mods that might render the car inoperable on 'any' sunny day. Soooo, let the mods begin. Gauges, CD player, additional accessories electrical circuit and all of the things that the Modfather is painting for me. Also, I have the tools to polish metal. If anyone has a set of inter-cooler clamps that are beat up, dingy, and ready for the scrap heap, let me know. If you have any, I will polish them and perhaps some custom texturing...and return them to you. If I screw them up...SORRY, but... I need to practice Boy, did this post get carried away...
A technology that you 'young-uns' don't seem to understand A CD changer seems to work well in NC and TN. 'hills'. Pandora cuts out...
