I think the Rota RB in gunmetal with a polished lip would look so good. Hope they can get you the 5 hole ones you need.
Just dropped it off at MINI of Allentown to have some rust warranty work done while I'm in KS for the next two weeks. Tiny little bubbles on the bottom edge of both doors. Noticed them during the prep detail for this past MOTD... finally getting them taken care of.
The recently powder coated wheels went on just a little bit to snug. I had to get creative in my efforts to get them off.
Me too. Having seen some of the vehicles coming out of there though... I'm not worried. I did see this one there when I dropped off today though. That should buff right out with a little compound and a wool pad though.
The entire wheel was coated which decreased the diameter of the center bore. I should have ground out the paint first but I thought if greased it good a tight fit would be "okay". Another lesson learned, millions to go!
Got new windshield wipers. It was a 30 mile drive from home to the only MINI dealer, I get free ones there so i thought it was worth the drive. (more like i'll find any excuse to drive it)
My MINI replacement took me for a nice back road out in the country drive today. Beautiful day here in the Ohio countryside.
pulled out the engine, swap some parts over to a new one, and cleaned everything so I can put the new one in
All it took to get Buzz to start on the first turn of the key again was a new set of firing pins.......good to go now!
Had a little success at Willow Springs this weekend. "2015 VARA C-Sedan Champions" Congratulations Steve!
Dropped my F56 off at the dealer for a recall. Insufficient side impact protection for rear seats. Guess they'll rip out the side panels and spray it with some "Great Stuff". For an Orange 2016 Justa as a loaner. I'm not impressed with the 3 calendar turbo motor. Gotta drive the 70 miles back down there tomorrow and get my car back.
Took the three banger back to the dealer and swapped it for my car. Had lunch with my Son, and on the way home I stopped by my favorite Indi mechanic/technician and had him install my Cravenspeed short shifter. Love the shifter and Cravenspeed shift knob. Very positive feel and super short throw, kinda like a fat seven position toggle switch.
It snowed. Left Rogue at home to stay clean. Took husband's MINI instead! Sherman Williams for paint! Gotta prepare for the holidays!
Loading my Cravenspeed and NM Engineering parts into the Mini. Heading out to my buddy's house (he has a lift! ) to install said parts. There will be pictures later.
