Attempted to take the Rat on its last club run of the year, but it was too cold in the sticks for the tires to warm up and get any grip. Lots of tire smoke if I tried having any fun. Sadly Katie couldn't make it either, but next time.
well, I am about to park the car for its winter hibernation. Too cold to mess with paint repair and a lot of time to think about how to fix. I may try touch up and polish, and maybe put some go fast stickers on the worst sections, or just repaint the whole hatch, although that money could buy me some other goodies, or pay for part of my son's R53 insurance that's about to make a big dent in my budget. We're actually very close to buying a completely bone stock '06 JCW for him - not super low miles, but one owner lady driven, dealer maintained and from the southwest. Will take my mind off the scratch as soon as we head down there to bring it home.
Spend Sunday putting mat in the doors, and rewiring new head unit. I can get volume for a period of time but after a while it disappears. Getting a little irritated with project. Never had this much trouble with an aftermarket install.
Bought an engine mount, not installed yet. Washed, vacuumed, put the winter floor mats in, put on snowtires. It's freezing cold here today.
Street side wash and wax using 2 five gallon buckets of water and a three gallon bucket soap. Also programmed the mini to close windows and sunroof with key fob, activated my pieced together mini factory alarm, double blink hazards, and to unlock the doors upon engine off (no more double pull to exit)...
I used NCS Expert. Read through everything like 5 times before I did it. Some folks really messed up their mini but once I did it, it wasn't that hard.
