Sure, it's nice use lite version to test compatibility then buy the full version. Allows battery registration. Customizing settings, and reading all bmw codes (more than obd ii). It backs up your configuration before making changes. http://www.mycarly.com/product/bmw-app/
So far you can do a lot more with this on R56 or newer.. can only diagnose R53.. no coding but that is a neat app and makes things A LOT easier...
Oil and filter change, lubed the NM rear sway bar and installed the Blizzak snows. This is where I get to say that I hate regular runflats, but runflat snows are magic - they take all the slop out of the normally squishy Blizzaks.
Not so much what I did with my MINI, because all I did was drive it to her place, but... I now have no clue how Nathan drove a Smart car while the Gnatster was down! Who puts the door handles on the back of the car? And have you ever heard of passenger leg room? It rode nice for what it was though, and it won't be the last time.
I'm heading out on a 5 day road trip this afternoon. So I washed my MINI (sure to hit rain on the trip after doing that!), checked all the fluids, checked all the lights, aired up the tires, put a spare tire behind the passenger seat, found the bag with the jack and lug wrench, and found my tire repair stuff (no runflats for me, so I like to be prepared, puncture-wise, for long trips). Then I gathered up some shiny plastic discs for the trip (yes, I still use old fashioned CDs) and I cleaned the windows. Ready to roll.
I added some 5 horsepower decals to mine. I wish I could have found some of my old STP stickers... those are good for at least 10 HP. :cornut:
Picked up the clubby from the shop. Had the second boost pressure sensor replaced to hopefully appease a low boost pressure code that's been happening. Boost was fine so faulty sensors are suspect. Had the thermostat and housing replaced since it just started throwing codes for it. Oil change while they were at it. Put the snow shoes on both MINIs. Love the Blizzaks!
Got my wheels back from the powdercoater, and Blizzaks were delivered to my installer, but wasnt able to get time off work to get them put on before the snow :-( They look nice sitting in the garage.
drove it for the first time in months after putting a hole in the motor and completely rebuilding everything
Drove it for the second day in a row after a two week hiatus, while I was in KS for work. The rust repair (under warranty) looks amazing. Can't tell anything was done.
Rescued a rusty clubby today. A friend has my Clubby in for some paint repair, and while he's doing that I'll put a clutch in his.....
